Death Panels: Theey're Baack!

I recently turned 73.  And according to one of the masterminds of Obamacare, I should stop taking care of myself in just two more years.

Last October, Dr. Ezekiel J. Emanuel wrote a lengthy and deeply disturbing article for The Atlantic in which he said he wants to die at 75 (he's currently 57).While he says he does not support assisted-suicide or euthanasia, Dr. Emanuel vigorously endorses refusing routine medical care. For example, after he becomes 75, he says he will no longer have such procedures as:
  • Cancer screenings
  • Colonoscopies
  • Heart valve replacement or bypass surgery
  • Cardiac stress tests
  • Flu shots

Despite claiming he's not trying to force anyone else to follow his lead, the article is headlined:

"Why I Hope to Die at 75. An argument that society and families-and you-will be better off if nature takes its course swiftly and promptly."

Aborting Toddlers - The Latest Trend

It is so horrific, so barbaric, so depraved it's hard to believe anyone actually thinks it's permissible.

But many do. After-birth abortion, a euphemistic name for infanticide, is gaining increased support among college students.

According to a recent article in The College Fix, pro-life activists say they not only see more support for infanticide on college campuses, but some students even suggest children up to four or five years old can be killed because they are "not self-aware."

Mark Harrington, Director of Created Equal, told the publication that "we encounter people who think it is morally acceptable to kill babies after birth on a regular basis at almost every campus we visit."

The article says the trend is based on "...the notion that it's OK to kill babies because somehow we don't become human until we are self-aware."

GRTL President Dan Becker said, while tragic, the idea should be expected because of the "continuous immoral propaganda being spread by people like Princeton Professor Peter Singer."

In 1979, Singer wrote that "...human babies are not born self-aware, or capable of grasping that they exist over time. They are not persons...[therefore] the life of a newborn is of less value than the life of a pig, a dog, or a chimpanzee."

Liberty Plaza - New Home for Georgia March For Life

Georgia Right to Life's annual gathering on the anniversary of Roe v. Wade has a long and rich history. What began in the early '80s in a hotel parking garage as a gathering of like minded pro-lifers from all walks of life turned into the largest statewide pro-life gathering in Georgia. Regardless of where it met, what it was called, or who attended, the purpose of this gathering has been to bring diverse groups of pro-lifers together to silently memorialize the lives lost to a culture of death and march in support of the sanctity of human life.

For the majority of its history, the event has been called Together For Life and gathered at the Georgia Capitol steps. Last year, there was a big change and the event was  renamed Georgia March for Life and the focus was expanded from the issue of abortion to promoting personhood for all.

2015 brings yet another big change.

We are proud to announce that the Georgia March For Life will be moving from its home on the Georgia Capitol steps to the brand new Liberty Plaza! Liberty Plaza is an amphitheater being constructed across from the Capitol replacing the old Capitol staff parking deck at the intersection of Capitol Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

This new venue will not only provide for a safer gathering area out of the street, but also provides more convenient parking and a better view of the Capitol.

Mark your calendars for Thursday, January 22, 2015 and join us at Liberty Plaza - across from the Capitol - in Atlanta from 11:30am-2:00pm with special keynote speaker Molotov Mitchell!
