Alright, alright. Are ya ready? Right around the corner is the 11th annual Spread Your Wings Adventure Weekend and boy oh boy are we excited.

This is our favorite time of year! Not only do we have amazing adventure races planned for each of you but we have a kids adventure race, a game show, a murder mystery night race and more. We also have a weekend of activities for you and your family. So pack your gear and your family and make your way to Camp Eagle for the start of a most excellent summer.

*Less than a week before registration goes up on May 2nd. Remember, custom race shwagg is only guaranteed if you sign up by May 2nd. You know you wanna so why pay more?

12 hour racers you are in for a treat. We have all new land available to us this year and you can bet we are gonna take advantage of that!

Odds and Ends

Please check the beginning team list to make sure the info is correct. We have had emails with name changes, teammate changes, race changes etc. The list is complete as of a couple of days ago.

If not accurate please email us directly.

We are providing boats and you must use what we provide. However, you are welcome to bring your own paddles and PFDs. The boat put in is within 200 meters or so of the TA area. Boats will be used on a first come first serve basis.

Ropes stuff: The 12 hour racers will be doing the rappel. Once again this year the rappel will be open for a certain window of the day and teams will be responsible for getting themselves there at any time during that window.

Weekend activities

One of the reasons Spread Your Wings is so fun is because you can bring the whole family and we bet ya won't hear one "are you almost done yet?"

The weekend schedule will be posted all around camp .

Are you gonna be ready?

Check the race page and make sure you have the mandatory gear. We have changed a few things over the last week particularly mandatory gear for the 12 hour racers.

Don't assume anything and be prepared for everything!

Mega Zip

Wanna do the longest zipline in Texas?Racers/Families/support/friends will have an opportunity to do the mega zip on Saturday and Sunday. Camp will be selling tickets beginning Friday at check in, first come, first serve. There will be 4 time slots available. Each time slot will hold 20 folks. Please be advised that the mega zip has sold out quickly the last 3 years. See weekend schedule here.

Guts & Glory Adventure Race

Camp Glorieta July 9, 2016

Come join us for one fantastic adventure race right outside Santa Fe, NM. Glorieta is Camp Eagle's sister camp. We will have a sprint race as well as a 12 hour option. Expect our super fun kids race, happy hour, lots of special tests and one tough as nails race at 7500 feet in the Southern Rockies.

Oh, and did we mention the new High 5 Zipline Tour?Families will have a chance to purchase tickets for the tour on Sunday. Racers? Well you'll just have to see what we have in store!

Why not pair your race weekend with Glorieta's amazing family camp? We can't think of a better way to spend your family vacation!

Too Cool Store

We will have the TCR store set up at check in. Look cool in one of our custom tees, performance socks, stickers and other one of a kind items. Cash or check only.

Food, Lodging and other stuff

Too Cool provides primitive camping for all racers and families. You will be directed to the tent camping area once you check in.

Too Cool Game Show & Happy Hour

I hope everyone can stay on Sunday. This has traditionally been a special time as the race is done and everyone is relaxed and enjoying each other's company. A long standing tradition at Spread Your Wings is the Too Cool game show and happy hour. Beginning at 5 pm on Sunday we will tap the keg from Saint Arnold's and Last Stand Brewery and start the game show sponsored by Diesel Barbershop!

Everyone at happy hour will be going home with one of Diesel's awesome silipints.

This year we will require everyone to have a wristband for HH. Racers, you will get one extra wristband to share with anyone you would like. All others will need to purchase one for $5.

You will be able to pre order enchilada dinner for Sunday night and stick around for the Murder Mystery night race that's fun for the whole family.

Beginning next week we will start posting clues to the answers to some of the game show questions on our Facebook page!

It's about the kids

The kid's adventure race on Sunday is from 10:30-11:30 am and is based out of the pavilion.

The race is on foot (no bikes) and the kid teams of 2-4 get a map and a passport and have to find several checkpoints and complete special tests at each one. Everyone gets a little something for finishing and we give prizes to 1st-3rd place.
