Cuidame: Ready to Take Care

This month, DREAM did more than just educate a group of young women; we helped launch their careers. Eleven recent A Ganar graduates, specializing in Child and Elderly Care, have created their own company, Cuidame. This was made possible with an interest free loan from DREAM partner EverGift, which specializes in financing social enterprise and development. Are you looking for the most qualified professionals to care for you or your children? If so, click above and be part of this historic initiative.
It's July, Time for DREAM Summer Schools and Camps!

We are hosting six separate camps across the North Coast this June and July, with more than 100 international and local volunteers serving more than 500 public school students. Our camps focus on academic intervention, along with art, sports, culture and unforgettable excursions. Show your support July 11th as our annual parade passes through Cabarete!
A Ganar Sosua's Newest Graduates

We are so proud of our 31 newest A Ganar graduates, specializing in both Customer Service and Elderly/Child Care. In the last six months, they have excelled through our theory, technical and practical stages, with local businesses supporting their internships, and mentors, like Wady Musa and the Dominican Ministry of Health, sharing their expertise. Now they are ready to begin their careers. Estamos orgullosos!
DREAM's Past Volunteers
Network in NYC

DREAM hosted our first alumni volunteer event in New York this month, with former DREAM volunteers and DREAM Board members meeting to explore ways to support each other, their careers and how they have brought their experiences back home. It was an inspiration to see everyone doing so well in their endeavors and the effect DREAM has had on their lives.
Golfers Show Their Support

DREAM is proud to partner with Jose Ovalles, the 10th Annual SGC/Feibre de Golf Torneo and Jesus Con Los Nios Children's Cancer Ward in Santiago. DREAM and JCLN were recipients of the proceeds from this year's tournament and excited to build on our new alliance.
Saying Goodbye to a DREAMer

Sometimes fate intervenes in our world! Kathy Reynaud came to DREAM by accident three and a half years ago and we are so glad she did. She has been a classroom teacher, summer camp director and A Ganar Coordinator. She has made the Callejn a better place and touched the lives of over 200 A Ganar graduates! We wish her the best of luck back home in Europe.
DREAMer of the Month
Emiliana Bravo

Emiliana Bravo started with the DREAM Project as a volunteer in 2006. Since then, she has grown into one of our most talented Montessori teachers. She was recognized recently by staff as employee of the month for her innovative spirit. This past year, she realized that some of her students were struggling with reading and took the initiative to start a new system of after-school tutoring with those who needed extra support. Now other teachers have followed her lead, showing that it takes just one person to initiate sustainable change.
