08/19/2014 23:12 BAGHDAD / Obelisk: A source in the Iraqi Supreme Judicial Council, on Tuesday, that the arrest warrants were issued against a number of senior officials in the Ministry of Finance on the pending issues of financial and administrative corruption, revealed the existence of great pressures on the Integrity Commission and the Supreme Judicial Council to close the file.

The source said in an interview for "obelisk", "The Iraqi judiciary issued an arrest warrant against the Deputy Minister of Finance Fadel Prophet and general manager of the legal department at the former Ministry of Finance Jabbar single pending issues of administrative and financial corruption."

The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, that "the elimination of suspended Director General of Budget in the Ministry of Finance cute Sami pending corruption cases related to the financial budget."

I do not know the logistics of why they stopped it. And I do not know Carden personally but his sources where right that it should have gone. Iraq is not the hold up. We still look really good this week. Hopefully we will have some answers tomorrow on why they needed more time.

We will just have to wait and see how this all plays out. I will not give a window because we always blow through those . I will give what I call hot days. The next 4 days are hot days.

We should see a lot of movement in those days. Pray we are finally about done with this ride.

This last weekend was slow from my sources so I hope that's a good thing . They have gone dark on me several times also when they had to!! Keep your chin up we are getting close!!

During the meeting, they discussed various topics in the field mentioned the most important activation of laws for the protection of the consumer and the product and the mechanics and controls to prevent cheating industrial and prevent the entry of goods quality is shoddy.

Ukraine Crisis : Thriver reported Russian aid convoy is still on its own side of the border. Moscow says an agreement reached re mission convoy should enter eastern Ukraine soon. Ukrainian forces raised their flag over police station in the city of Luhansk. City was under rebel control for months.

It's seen as major breakthrough vs rebels. Ukraine says rebels in the east of the country fired rockets and mortars on civilians. Many reportedly killed, including women and children.

Israel - Gaza Showdown : Puckster_guy heard Israeli and Palestinian negotiators in Egypt mediated Gaza truce talks hardened their position today. Five day cease fire about to expire. Gaza blockade imposed by Israel and Egypt since Hamas militants took control of the strip in 2007, remains main stumbling block.

Arthur: Great to see how many have now come to see how this event is and always has been about the country of Iraq and their political and economic stability per the CBI/AOP and not all the other nonsense that has been out there for so many years.

They are now in the process of undoing all the corruption of the former regime. How long that will take can only be guessed ,but mine would be not extremely long from what I am hearing from sources that are involved in that process among other things.

And then there is the factional haggling that is being done regarding all the ammendments and adjustments to the current budget which has to have the HCL already in it.

We also know that the current government has agreed in principle to the disputed territories pertaining to Article 140 as it is currently constituted.

With so much happening over the summer on the geopolitical front, including increasing social unrest around the world, it's important to look in again on the International Monetary Fund's 2010 Quota and Governance Reforms.

Obviously the United States is still delaying the required congressional approval to enact the legislation in support of the reforms.

Exo, From all the intel you are giving us plus others, here is what I see:

The US gov't says it won't allow the RV until a stable Iraqi Gov't is in place.

-Iraq has gone gang busters getting this done. They were going to announce everyone on Saturday. It didn't happen, and we haven't been told why.

-However, at the same time all of this banking system checks are going on, testing, confirmations, etc. (Utah now has TRNs)

-Obama says ISIS infestation is being thwarted, but still work to do.

-Now Iraq PM says next meetings will be next Tuesday 26th.

Lukoil transported the first shipment of oil from the West Qurna 2 field to Italy

Lukoil, largest Russian oil producer has now shipped one million barrels of crude oil from the West Qurna 2 field to Italy....they own a 75% stake in the field, one of the largest in the world....the field has proven reserves of 13 billion barrels and is expected to reach a daily production of 1.2 million barrels of oil per day.....this initial shipment of oil to Italy went out of the port at Basra...currently the field's production stands at 280 thousand barrels of oil per day.

Speaker of the House presides over a meeting of the committee tasked to discuss the draft law of the Federal Court

Only a little bit of news out of the Parliament thus far today about their activities.....they did conduct a meeting with the committee that had been tasked with studying the draft law of the Federal Court....

Speaker of the House presides over a meeting of the committee tasked to discuss the draft law of the Federal Court 19 August 0.2014

[tlm724] gathering all the opinions of the ministers within the different blocs

[tlm724] of course there are differences, thats government, no matter where you are

[tlm724] he wants a consensus

[tlm724] so they proceeded with the second reading and have agreed to meet again on Wednesday

Tlar Comment - This my my last email until the RV comes out. I am very excited but don't feel there is anything left to add to this conversation. Those of you that are on this list are my family and extended friends.

Iraq is ready to do its thing and this late in the game the only thing we need to watch for is the government being put together and that should be in sometime this week.

Maliki has left the country but IMO we won't see any announcement of this for some time to come because of the potential for it causing a distraction in the process of the formation of the new government.

THE SITUATION IN THE REST OF THE REGION IS GETTING INTENSE. QATAR WAS ON CNN LAST NIGHT. WE NEED TO WATCH WHO MOVES WHERE IN THE REGION THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO US. HUGE PROBLEMS WILL BE TAKING PLACE IN THE COMING HOURS IF THINGS DO NOT SETTLE DOWN IN QATAR.
