Dungeons and Dragons Collection 
In honor of its 40th anniversary, we're building a small D&D collection.  Starting with just the core books from the three most recent editions, they will be located next to the Graphic Novels on the third floor - just quest up to the top of the stairs!

Is your collection of negatives, prints, slides and digital photos a mess?  Then this is the program for you! Danvers photographer Greg West will discuss digitizing slides, prints and negatives.

 

Once digitized, tools used for today's digital images can be utilized to provide not only organization of your images but enhancement as well. Ideas for sharing and safely backing up your photos will also be discussed.

Small Business: Developing a Customer Profile  Wednesday, September 24 ~ 4:00pm

Determining demographic factors of your customers is an important starting point, but it's often difficult to find them without help.  AtoZ Databases, available for free through the Danvers Peabody Institute Library, can provide you with names and addresses of those who match your target.     

Join SCORE's Michael Thompson to learn about this fantastic tool, including developing a customer profile and customizing a list of who to approach.  SCORE  is a nonprofit group dedicated to helping small businesses get off the ground and achieve their goals through education and mentoring.  Click here to register.

Your Library Online: New Overdrive Features

Suspend Holds - No more missing your turn for that long awaited ebook.  Overdrive now allows you to suspend holds.  While suspended, your hold will continue to advance in the queue but if your turn comes, the book will go to the next user in the queue and you'll be next. 

Auto Checkout
- Now, when placing a hold, you will see an option to 'auto-checkout.' 

By selecting this option, you'll receive a notification when your title is available confirming that it has been checked out and can be found on your account bookshelf.
