This email contains news for the next two weeks.
This coming Saturday, August 30th, we go to Faith Mission to serve the men and women at the shelter. If you can help with food preparation on Friday night or serving on Saturday, let St. Ann know by clicking here or by giving her a call.
On Sunday, August 31st, we will hold our annual Parish Dedication Festival to celebrate the founding of St. Augustine's. This festival corresponds to the Feast Day of our patron saint, Augustine of Hippo. After the service, we will have homemade sweets by the Lauren Quayle Bakery :-) and a taste of champagne. For those who have lost count, we are beginning our fourth year as a parish!! Thanks be to God!
Each Sunday morning, right before church, Dr. Monroe and Judy Dowling are leading a 10-minute prayer service using Anglican beads. Gather in the upstairs lobby at 9:45. You'll find details in the article below.
One other reminder: Sunday, September 7th is Birthday Sunday (more eating after church!), and don't forget to bring supplies for CHA Animal Shelter. The organization needs toilet paper(did you know dogs use toilet paper?? :-), bleach, and dog bone treats. Bill Lucas or Pat Ports will take your gifts to the shelter.
Finally, do you have your bathing suit out and ready? St. Augustine's will have its annual church picnic on Sunday, September 14th at 3:00 at the Patricks'. You'll find details in the link below.
Finally, FINALLY: Pray that God guides and gives wisdom to the Leadership Team as we explore the possibility of leasing our own worship space.
God bless you this week as you seek to make a difference in His Kingdom because you are changed by Him.

We sang this song during out healing service last Sunday. Powerful words. Powerful Lord.
Lord, I come into your presence, And I bare to you these scars, Some received in private battles, Some received in holy wars; Even some were self-inflicted, But no matter how they came, I now bare them all before you, To the honor of your name.
All our wounds cry Hallelujah, All our bruises honor you, Every scar is now a trophy, Of the grace that brought us through, And the tears we've wept before you, When we did not understand Now are diamonds of redemption, Sparkling in your nail-scarred hand.
All our wounds cry Hallelujah, You've redeemed them by your own, That you carried in your body, From the manger to the throne, Where your priestly intercession, Has transformed our deepest pain, So our wounds cry Hallelujah, Hallelujah to your name.
All Our Wounds Cry Hallelujah
