While we would all agree that communication is vital in any relationship, it's at all likely that our interactions with our spouse and children are lacking in this area.  We all desire to have open and honest communication within our families, but just how do we go about creating a climate of it in our homes?

This issue of Family Connections is designed to help you create a culture of biblical communication within your family.  It is our hope that the articles shared here will equip, convict and encourage you as you seek God's design for communication in your family.

Communicating Without Talking

"It's not just what you said, but how you said it."

Non-verbal communication (gestures, posture, eye contact, etc.) can speak volumes as we speak or listen to our spouse.  In the article found here, Mitch Temple gives readers a few tips on how to keep our bodies from communicating something different than we intend.
For Parents
Delighting in Your Children

As parents, one of the most important relationships we can emphasize to our children is their relationship with God through teaching them about prayer.

Focus on the Family has posted the article found here that gives parents advice on how to cultivate an atmosphere of prayer for their little ones.
For Parents and Teens
