Friends make generous gift to library
The Friends of the Library voted to allocate more than $27,000 to be used for library programs and services, including the summer reading program, events and activities for teens, holiday decorations and programs, a Dr. Seuss celebration and other children's events, author visits, the Lakefly Writer's Conference and National Novel Writing Month activities. This generous allocation comes primarily from the Friends' Used Book Sales. Many thanks to the Friends for their ongoing support!

Each day, all across the country, one of our most basic freedoms - the right to read - is threatened by attempts at censorship. Without our constant support, these First Amendment freedoms - the right to read, explore ideas and express ourselves - are at risk. Join the Oshkosh Public Library and celebrate the freedom to read. Stop in and check out a banned book Sept. 21-27. Watch our web site to learn more.
