High Hopes sessions resume Sept. 9

Help your child learn the early literacy skills that lead to reading. High Hopes is an early literacy program that offers your baby or toddler all the enjoyment of our regular storytimes, while teaching you easy ways to practice important early literacy skills at home.

No registration is necessary, but plan to attend all six sessions to the greatest benefit for your child. Learn more and see examples of High Hopes activities.

Friends make generous gift to library
The Friends of the Library voted to allocate more than $27,000 to be used for library programs and services, including the summer reading program, events and activities for teens, holiday decorations and programs, a Dr. Seuss celebration and other children's events, author visits, the Lakefly Writer's Conference and National Novel Writing Month activities. This generous allocation comes primarily from the Friends' Used Book Sales. Many thanks to the Friends for their ongoing support!
