 Art of Ministry Course Registration
Don't forget that you cannot be enrolled in Art of Ministry II or the Internship Track of Art of Ministry III unless you submit a completed Covenant of Shared Wisdom, found online (choose the appropriate form). No student can be enrolled in an internship course without an internship placement. The deadline for submitting completed Covenants is April 15, 2014. For more information, contact Dr. John Senior.

This year's Seventh Annual Lenten Preaching Series is held in partnership with First Baptist Church on Highland of Winston-Salem. Themed God's New Community, each service - held Fridays during Lent - will include a brief sermon and communion will be observed. Following the service, lunch will be served. This week's service will be led by Dr. Michelle Voss Roberts. She will preach on "The Greatest is the Servant in God's Community" (Mark 10:35-45).

Annual Summer Conference For Peacemakers

This summer conference is for students, faculty, and staff interested in environmental justice. The conference, "Una Sola Creacion/Une Seule Creation/One Creation" will gather individuals to celebrate our place as the Beloved Community and our place on a planet that's groaning under the weight of our carelessness. 2014 Cooperative Baptist Fellowship Festival of Young Preachers

Preaching matters and the worship of God requires our very best. To this end the CBF, in partnership with the Academy of Preachers, seeks to inspire, network, and encourage young people toward excellence in their call to gospel preaching. 16 preaching slots will be available with open registration beginning April 4. Hospitality of the Spirit: Walking the Labyrinth
During Holy Week, a labyrinth will be available from 2:00pm on Tuesday, April 15 to 2:00pm on Wednesday, April 16 for those would like to explore this form of prayer and contemplation. On Wednesday, Chris Copeland will facilitate a guided walk. "Walking the Labyrinth" is part of the Embodying Hospitality during Lent series.

The Gendered Pulpit: Sex, Body, and Desire in Preaching and Worship Rev. Dr. Angela Yarber will be giving a talk titled "The Gendered Pulpit: Sex, Body, and Desire in Preaching and Worship." This talk is relevant to everyone. Women who participate in public speaking or preaching and those of us who identify as Queer may find it especially helpful. This event is sponsored by Kaleidoscope.

The primary responsibility of the pastoral assistant with youth is to provide for the spiritual formation of students (grades 6-12). The vision for ministry with youth at Peace Haven Baptist Church is to shape a context and community in which youth are embracing the Lordship of Jesus Christ, developing spiritual practices and disciplines designed to sustain and deepen their life in Jesus Christ, and learning to live a public witness for Jesus Christ and the Kingdom of God.
