April 28, 2016

Dear Parents,

Greetings from your Head of School!

I want to take this opportunity to keep you abreast of some significant changes that are occurring at New Braunfels Christian Academy.

A couple of weeks ago Mr. Eric Pipkin and I agreed that an office change would cause less confusion among the entire school family.  Therefore, as of this past Monday, my office is now located in the secondary main offices, and I will travel between both campuses most days of the week.  I am grateful that Mr. Pipkin is still serving in an advisory capacity for me during the transition.

As each school year ends, our NBCA family members begin to look at what God has for them for the following year.  We are so grateful for those whom God is leading to return to us, and we are also grateful for the all of the service of those whom God is leading on to new positions.  For now, I want to make sure that you know of a couple of our key changes.

We are extremely grateful for the significant work of Mrs. Alison Ivey.  She has effectively served as our school's Curriculum Director, Assistant Secondary Principal, and most recently as the Interim Secondary Principal while Mr. Heatherly was serving overseas.  Mrs. Ivey has accepted a position beginning this summer which will allow her family to fulfill their long-held desire to return home to Georgia.  Her last day with us will be Friday, May 27, 2016.  Please be in prayer for her family as they make this move with all of the details that are involved in each and every move.

Additionally, we are very thankful to the Lord for the friendship of Mrs. Leanne Davis and her love for New Braunfels Christian Academy.  She has been someone who has been passionate about getting NBCA into the hearts and minds of everyone in our community through her work with marketing.  She has also assisted in enrolling our most recent families as she served as our school's Admissions Director.  While Mrs. Davis seeks her next assignment from the Lord, Mrs. Michelle Leidy will serve as Interim Admissions Director over the next few months.

Our elementary principal position is in the final stages toward hiring.  Please continue to pray that the interview team and other key personnel have the wisdom of the Lord in securing the exact right person for this important role in the life of our NBCA family.  We hope to have an announcement within the next couple of weeks.

Most importantly, don't forget that the Farewell Reception for Mr. Pipkin will take place THIS SUNDAY as a come-and-go from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the secondary cafeteria.  Please come and share your love for our former Head of School and bless him by your presence.  We would love to see as many of our NBCA families there as possible.  God blessed us with Mr. Pipkin's leadership over the last seven years; let's come out in full force on Sunday and bless him back!

Sincerely,

Jill White
Head of School
