Saturday, May 7: 
Rabies Vaccination Clinic
Dogs and Cats
Dr. Stephanie Blevins, TR Veterinary Services, will be conducting our annual Rabies Vaccination Clinic.  Round up the cats and dogs and bring them over for their annual Rabies, Distemper, Parvo Virus, or de-worming shots.

Tuesday, May 10th and 24th: Caregiver Support Group 
Are you caring for a friend or loved one who is ill or aging?  This is a group for you to come hear from others and find love and support from them. 
When:  1:00pm
What: Sheridan Senior Center Director of Family Caregiver Services, Stella Montano and Michelle Keller, TR Program Coordinator, will be here to lead the group.  A great way to learn about services and ways for you make sure you are caring for yourself.

A great day to get out your resale items and have a yard sale or find that treasure you've been looking for! 

Tuesday, May 24: Bike to School Day
Meet at the Central Office in Ranchester and ride your bike, scooter or skate board to school with your teachers and parents! Participate in a Bike Rodeo at school.

National Bike to School Day provides an opportunity for schools across the country to join together to celebrate and to build off of the energy of National Bike Month.

Pickleball Tournament at Ranchester Activity Park

Calling all 5 and 6 year olds!  Come enjoy the sport of T-ball - practicing and playing real games! Volunteer coaches needed!

Here at our After School Program we center around the SIX Pillars of Character: Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness Caring, and Citizenship
TRACK UPDATE: April 
TRACK kids continue their character focus in April with Cowboy Ethics and Code of the West. Character words for the month included: Passion, Dream, Effort, Attitude and "TRY".

Our science for April was clouds, weather and the Earth. Students created dream clouds, and in celebration of Earth Day helped out around the center by doing some spring clean up.
We still have our
 "Reading Buddies"--Thanks much to Jackie Allen and TRMS students who take time each week to spend reading with us 
on Tuesday afternoons!! We truly appreciate your time!! 


WYO Theater - Okie Dokie Brothers Concert
We are going to help Sheridan Community Land Trust  Kick off their monthly UNPLUG events with an evening of outdoors-inspired bluegrass by this  Grammy® Award winning duo AND local Grammy® nominated artist Sarah Sample! 
When: Thursday, May 19 6:00pm
Where: Wyo Theater - we will take a bus of kids in (limit 13) for the event.  
Cost: $2.00 - includes round-trip ride to Sheridan and ticket to concert.

End of Year Carnival:
Let's celebrate the year!  A fun event at the Ranchester Activity Park for all k-5 graders!  Middle schoolers, you can come help! Fun games and activities, BBQ, and more!

SUMMER 2016
Summer is quickly approaching and we have a full line-up planned. The link below is program and description of all our camps and activities with dates and ages.  Please take some time and look over the camps - we offer something for everyone! 

Are you in need of keeping your child busy throughout the summer?  TRVCC and the Sheridan YMCA have camps almost every week of the summer.  Check out the link below to get your child engaged in activities.  TRVCC will provided transportation to and from the Y for all the Y camps listed on the form.  


Basketball Camp: Warwick Workouts! 
TRVCC and TRHS along with many generous local businesses (see below) are bringing Sheridan County Athletes (girls and boys) an awesome opportunity in basketball!  Shane Warwick and team will be here in June to put on a great skills camp that our athletes don't want to miss! 
When: June 23: grades 3-6 9:00 - 11:00  grades 7-12  12:00 - 3:00
         June 24: grades 3-6 9:00 - 11:00 grades 7-12 TBD shooting day
   June 25: grades 3-6 8:00 - 10:00am grades 7-12 10:30 - 1:30

Cost:  grades 3-6 $70; grades 7-12 $90 - scholarships are available - please ask, we don't want anyone not doing this camp!

Other TR NEWS

The TRVCC E-Newsletter gets distributed at the beginning of each month.  It goes out to more than 500 people.  TRVCC wants to share the happenings of the Tongue River Valley. If you have a community event or something community oriented that you would like to share, please let us know by the last week of the month so we can get it in the newsletter. 

TRVCC R.O.S.E. Award Winners

Every year we honor special volunteers who have contributed to TRVCC over the years.  We appreciate all of them!  This year we honored Carole Petty and Dennis Wagner - two people who have truly made TRVCC what it is today!  Their time and talents are immeasurable!

Ranchester Railway 5k Run/Walk
The first annual Ranchester Railway Run/Walk was a great success, with over 60 participants.  It was a beautiful day for the run!  Our Run Girl Run Class participate and all finished - congratulations girls, a great accomplishment! All proceeds from the event went to our very own TRE school, helping them purchase a computer for their new lab.   





Earth Day Program
We spent Friday, April 22 - Earth Day - with a great group of students. They learned about renewable energy, clean waste, and recycling! After activities at the Ranchester Center, we took a trip to the Sheridan Recycling Center.  What a great thing to do.... RECYCLE!

If you want to get rid of those grocery bags and don't want to drag them to town to recycle, we are saving them for a local community service project. Bring them to the TRVCC Dayton Center!
