"Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young."
- Henry Ford
Mr. Ford was ahead of his time. For most of his and successive generations, we played, then we learned, then we worked. Today, lifelong learning is a necessity to become,
and even possibly remain,
employable. Traditional credentials such as GPA, test scores, and college degrees are being supplanted by career specific certifications, licenses, and badges which employers use to easily sift through pools of applicants. This proliferation of credentials has led to Lumina Foundation's funding of a
credential marketplace
to help students, job seekers and employers identify the most on target and valuable credentials. The new era of lifelong learning is firmly upon us.
