EPICentre to host MaRS Intensive Summer Program in May
 
Starting on May 12th, EPICentre will be kicking off its intensive summer program. These workshops encourage peer and experiential learning in diverse cohorts of up to thirty participants. Throughout the program, the participating entrepreneurs work on the most critical business challenges facing early-stage startups.  READ MORE  
EPICentre Member Ryan Kant to compete in finals at David McFadden Energy Entrepreneur Challenge
 
One of our EPIC members and University of Windsor Engineering student Ryan Kant is a top finalist in the David McFadden Energy Entrepreneur Challenge. Ryan and his company EnviroDrone will compete in Toronto on May 10th at OCE Discovery in Toronto.  READ MORE  
RBC EPIC Business Model Canvas Competition 2016

EPICentre is proud to announce the RBC EPIC Business Model Canvas Competition. The competition will be held at the University of Windsor from November 25th - 27th. For further information, keep checking the EPICentre website and social media feeds for updates.
Sales and Marketing students publish Odette Business Review

Odette School of Business Marketing professor, Dave Bussiere, engaged his undergraduate Sales Management and Marketing Management classes to put together a publication about Odette for distribution online and in print media. The class worked closely with the Windsor Star to put together the Odette Business Review, a special edition newspaper highlighting the Odette experience.  READ MORE 
RBC EPIC Founder's Program set to kick off in May

EPICentre's RBC EPIC Founder's Program is set to kick things off starting on May 9th with a trip to Toronto for OCE Discovery. EPICentre had an overwhelming response to the program this year with over 35 applications for the summer program. Ultimately, 12 founders were selected to participate in the program.  READ MORE 
EPICentre members help mentor local FIRST Robotics Canada team into World Championship

From April 6th - 9th,  Windsor-Essex FIRST Robotics  hosted the Windsor-Essex Great Lakes Regional competition at the St. Denis Centre at the University of Windsor. The competition is the largest regional competition in Canada with winning teams moving on to the FIRST Championship in St. Louis. A total of 52 teams competed, including a team from Poland.  READ MORE 
Lean startup students present their final business models at EPIC Innovation     

On April 8th, 20 students from Dr. Francine Schlosser's Lean Startup course presented their final business models developed through the course, five of which applied for the RBC EPIC Founder's Program to turn their business idea into a reality. The presentations were held at EPIC Innovation. Special guest Brian Hendel from Splice Digital was on-hand to view the presentations as was Entrepreneurship professor Thomas Kenworthy and Engineering professor Ali Abdulhussein.  READ MORE

UWIN_3D Print Club launches for students interested in 3D Printing

UWIN_3D Print is a University of Windsor based 3D Printing Club. Their goal is to promote the concepts and practices of 3D Printing, as well as to facilitate an educational hands-on experience via workshops and events to those with an interest in 3D printing. Students will have an opportunity to explore this awesome new process to turn concepts from digital to reality.  READ MORE

University of Windsor ready to host Hacking Health Windsor Detroit II

Canada's Music Incubator's Artist Manager Bootcamp to visit Windsor-Essex

Canada's Music Incubator is partnering with the WindsorEssex Economic Development Corp and Small Business Centre to host the Artist Manager Bootcamp. The boot camp will be FREE and run Saturday, June 25 (9am-6pm) and Sunday, June 26 (9am-3pm) with the objective of providing customized, hands-on and high-level mentorship to a maximum of 15 pre-selected music artist managers, self-managed artists or transitioning industry professionals.  READ MORE 
Introducing the SARE Centre

Meet one of EPICentre's newest members, the Sexual Assault Resistance Education (SARE) Centre. The organization will provide support to others who aim to reduce sexual assault in their educational institutions and communities. Their goal is to contribute to the social movement to eliminate sexual violence by men against women, particularly on university and college campuses, but also in larger communities.   READ MORE 
Faculty Fellows Profile: Dr. Brent Lee

Dr. Brent Lee is a professor of integrated media at the school of Creative Arts. He teaches mostly courses focused in sound and time based art forms. He has been at the University since 2002 and started as a composer writing lots of orchestra and classical musicals.  READ MORE
Two-week Entrepreneurship Summer Academy focused on Simulations, Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality

This summer, the University of Almería hosts the two-week Entrepreneurship Summer Academy focused on Simulations, Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality from July 4th to July 15th 2016.  Eligible for attendance are students with a good level of English coming from EU-universities (and affiliated H2020 countries). The participation is totally FREE. The students will get:

- Free registration, accommodation, meals and local transport
- Up to 100 EUR reimbursement of travel expenses to reach Almería
- Chance to win funding for their startup idea
- Certificate of attendance
