WHAT YOU MAY HAVE MISSED
Volunteer Opportunities
Wait! Before you skip this paragraph because there is no possible way you could add one more committee or meeting to your plate, we've reorganized. Many of you came to us saying you wanted to help out, but between work, sports practice, dog walking, cat feeding, grass mowing, grocery shopping, grandkid watching...we get it. At the last Council meeting, they restructured the Community Relations Committee (responsible for planning most of the amazing City events throughout the year) into the Parks, Recreation and Tourism Commission. T his new committee consists of 5 members who will meet regularly and have a 2-year term. We need people who specialize in Marketing/Sponsorships, Recreation, Parks/Facilities, Community Events and one at large seat. Can't commit to 2 years or regular meetings? We have a seat for you, too! These areas will have subcommittees who meet to accomplish certain goals and then disband. And if that is even too much, you can volunteer for specific events (ie. Fall Festival) or even parts of events (ie. decorating for the City's birthday party on July 4th). We just need help! Interested?   Let us know.

Attention all irrigation system owners
It's that time again. Every year residents owning irrigation systems connected to the City's water system are required to perform a backflow prevention inspection. Sorry, but it's not our rule. SCDHEC mandates it: it's a fairly important public drinking water safety thing. We try our best to help you as much as possible by providing all of the info you need on our website including a list of businesses licensed in Tega Cay to perform the inspection. Add to your honey-do list:
1) Call inspection company and schedule inspection ASAP
2) Fill out the form and mail it back to City Hall (7725 Tega Cay Drive)
3) Sit back with your feet up knowing you have another year until you have to do it again.
