Wishing you and yours a peaceful Passover

Greetings!

We at the Jewish Federation stand in solidarity with the Jewish community in Kansas City following yesterday's horrific events, and our sympathies are with the families of the victims.

No community should have to face a moment such as this one, and the Jewish Federations of North America pledges to do whatever is necessary to help the people of Kansas City through this terrible time. Today, on Pesach, we are left to contemplate how we must continue our work building a world in which all people are free to live their lives without the threat of terror.

We strongly recommend that you consider the following:
  1.  Have a plan - both as individuals and as organizations.  Know what you would do should an incident occur.
  2.  Be extra vigilant.  Be aware of your surroundings and report unusual items and/or persons.
  3.  Know that the Jewish Federation of Pinellas & Pasco Counties is in regular communication with the Jewish  Federations of North America, the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI whenever incidents like this  occur.  We will keep the community and its leadership apprised of important information.
  4. If you would like to receive important information during a time of crisis or extreme weather conditions, make sure you opt-into the Jewish Federation's communication network by texting PINELLAS
