The Alaska Multiple Sclerosis Center promotes a healthy and active lifestyle for Alaskans living with MS by  providing educational resources and seminars, recreational and social opportunities, as well as regular fitness sessions based on current treatment, research and available resources.

Instructor available on Tuesdays and Thursdays or by appointment

 

Water therapy can burn calories, improve balance, increase range of motion, take stress off joints and tone muscle.

Location: Pulliam Room, Tower T, Providence Medical Park, 3851 Piper St., Anchorage

Cost: $48 for 8 sessions or $10 drop in fee.

Each class is split in to 5 blocks: warm-up, upper body, lower body, core strengthening then followed by a cool down. This can be modified to your individual needs.

Adaptive Yoga

Common Adventure - Access Zoo

Join us for special weekday visit to the Alaska Zoo. It can be treated as a long lunch break or early getaway!

The Anchorage Golf Course and zoo team up to offer motorized tours on golf carts with AARP volunteer drivers.

No fees are charged, but you MUST pay regular zoo admission or use your season pass. Proof of residency must be shown for $13 adult fee or $10 senior price.

Meeting time: 12:45 pm
Group fun time: 1:00 - 3:00 pm 




UW Medicine MS Center - Education Series

A chilly and breezy Saturday, April 9th didn't keep a large group from attending our "End of Winter" Common Adventure at Kincaid Park. Biking, walking, talking, blowing bubbles and eating pizza made for a wonderful experience.
