The Spiritual Committee is offering a new Lay Led Service on the last Friday of each month at 6:00pm from now until the end of May.  There will still be a regular Shabbat Service at 7:30pm.

Try it out and let us know what you think about the time of the service--does it work better for you?  Also consider leading one of these worship services.  Please contact Marc Kamhi for information.

Calling All Singers!

To kick off the Gala Celebration of Temple Sinai's 50th Anniversary on June 24,we'll be doing a performance of
Come Inside: A Midrash on Genesis 18:1 directed by the composer, our own Bruce Chalmer.

Based musically and midrashically on the first verse of Parshat Vayera (Gen. 18:1), Come Inside is a commentary on the development of liberal Judaism: rooted in tradition, but grafting together traditional and modern elements into a living organism.

We need singers in all parts (SATB). You don't have to be able to read music--recordings of each part are available online.

Rehearsals will be at Temple on the following Wednesday evenings at 7:00pm: May 25, June 1, June 15, and June 22, plus a rehearsal at 3:30pm the afternoon of the performance, Friday June 24.  Please contact Bruce ([email protected]) and let him know you're in!
