Leadership Worcester engages a new generation of leaders on critical public policy issues, including economic development, education, public health, culture, public safety, and sustainability.

Know someone who might be a good fit? The program runs from September, 2016 through May, 2017, including an overnight retreat and monthly sessions. The deadline to submit an application is May 2, 2016.

article2Still Time to RSVP for the 2016 Annual Meeting

Mark you calendar for Greater Worcester Community Foundation's annual meeting on Wednesday, May 18 at 4:30PM at Mechanics Hall. 

This year's keynote speaker is Neil Nicoll, President Emeritus of YMCA of the USA. Neil currently serves as chairman of the Independent Sector Board of Directors and as a steering committee member of ChildObesity 180.

YCI is a youth led program  where Worcester area teens  get to create positive change  in their communities through  philanthropy and grant  making. 

Know someone who's going to be a High School Sophomore or  Junior in Fall 2016?  YCI meets on Wednesdays, 4-7pm from  September - December at the Foundation's office i n downtown Worcester. Applications are due May 20th.

article4Help Fight Food Insecurity in Central Massachusettes

The Fund to End Hunger was established in 2011 to support hunger-relief organizations that provide direct service as well as anti-hunger advocacy organizations. 

Grants are awarded to organizations with innovative and sustainable solutions to the problem of hunger that incorporate practices that have shown promise throughout Worcester County. Deadline to apply is June 15. 

Our Acorn Society honors donors who have established planned gifts or provided for the Foundation in their wills. 

The Foundation is uniquely able to carry out your many diverse charitable goals and allows you to support the causes closest to your heart. A bequest gift can be any portion of your estate or a life-income charitable vehicle. We hope you will join us.
