Two weeks ago, Yael pledged to match all gifts up to $2,000 to welcome me as EcoViva's new Executive Director and I am pleased to say that we surpassed our goal. Thank you Yael for your generous donation and many thanks to everyone who made a gift of support.

Above all, I am grateful for Yael's years of hard work and I hope to be able to fill her shoes as we build on her successes. I am also greatly appreciative of the community of EcoViva supporters like you, who over the years have given their time and financial support, hosted events with us, or traveled with us to Central America. Thank you so much!

As I begin my first week on the job, I am eager to apply my experiences as a manager and a fund development professional for organizations such as the Global Fund for Women, International Rivers, and the Sierra Club to build on Yael's accomplishments. With the EcoViva team and community, I will work to grow our supporter base and increase financial support for our programs, working with community-based organizations who protect and restore critical habitats while promoting sustainable development.
