Cat Care Society Mewsletter
There are only 5 days left to help us raise the $12,000 needed for
critical medical equipment upgrades at The Cat Clinic.

CCS cats like Caspian are counting on your generosity to make this happen!

Caspian was picked up on the streets of Denver by Animal Control. He was found limping on his front leg, wandering unsteadily in circles, was experiencing seizures, and was extremely underweight.

Caspian arrived at the CCS Shelter and the Cat Clinic staff immediately went to work to determine the cause of the seizures. Upon examination and full work up of his vital organs, our veterinarian believed his neurological symptoms could have been caused by a toxin ingestion from his time on the streets. Caspian is very lucky he was rescued in time by CCS!

I n addition to the seizures and limp, Caspian was in critical need of a dental procedure. After medications, fluid therapy and continuous monitoring of his neurological symptoms, Caspian recovered from the seizures and limp. He put on a decent amount of weight and was finally able to have the dental procedure he desperately needed. Caspian's mouth was in horrible condition and based on his bloodwork results, he is very lucky he did not have a severe infection as a result. Caspian had most of his teeth removed during his dental procedure and he is expected to make a full recovery!

Through it all, Caspian never let these challenges affect him- he always remained in great spirits, was very loving, trusting, and affectionate.  Without the veterinary services of the Cat Clinic, Caspian would have continued to suffer and likely would not have survived on the streets due to these medical challenges.

Thanks to the Cat Clinic, Caspian is on his way to living a long and healthy life!

Opt to Adopt: Kismet

Kismet is ready for his forever home! Kismet is a playful, active 10 year old who would love someone to play with. He loves chasing toys as you pull them, and he also enjoys chasing balls. Kismet is very social, and loves sitting in laps and talking to his human friends. Kismet is FIV positive, and
although his immune system is affected, he will live a normal life, and can even live in a house with other cats who do not have FIV.
