Wednesday May 4th 6-8pm
Join us for our monthly Social Issues Discussion evening, organized by the Social Issues Committee.
Renée MacKillop, the Project Manager of the Alex Community Food Centre, will be discussing the power of good food, what is food security and what does it mean for our communities. She believes food is personal, social, cultural, environmental, fundamental to our health and powerful.
The Alex Community Food Centre, opening this summer, will be the first Community Food Centre in Alberta. It is a place where people come together to grow, cook, share and advocate for good food.  Join Renee's conversation and help to shape the development of the Alex CFC.  A free draw will be held for a popular book on food security.

Do you have questions about income inequality? Have you seen anti-feminist reactions to the economic crisis? Want to learn more about how taxes can affect women and men differently? Professor Kathleen Lahey is a leading Canadian scholar on gender and economic policy.
Join us at 6pm for a half-hour meet and greet, followed by Lahey's talk and time for questions.
We would like to thank the Parkland Institute for their support in making this event possible.
