KALEIDOSCOPE OF DANCE

Thirteen local dance groups will perform - Aerial Athletes, Abella's School of Dance, Blue Lotus Mid East Dance Troupe, Dance Guild of St. Augustine, Florida School of the Arts, Mia Bella Academy of Dance, Mia Bella Academy North, Matanzas Tap, Noise Complaint, Perla Ballet, St. Augustine Dance Conservatory, SJCCA: St. Augustine High School, and Diedre and Felix.

Approximately 175 dancers, representing age ranges from middle school through senior citizen, will perform 18 dance numbers. Genres include ballet, tap, ballroom, bellydance, jazz, hip hop and contemporary.

Diedre and Felix are professional ballroom dancers. They are doing two works - a bolero and a cha cha. Perla Ballet is also providing professional dancers, Meghan and Jonathan Chapman, who will perform a pas de deux from Cinderella. Six of these groups performed in last year's Kaleidoscope; the others are new to us. There are approximately 175 dancers involved, representing ages ranges from middle school through senior citizen. We expect the show to last about 90 minutes, including intermission. There are 18 dances on the program. Genres represented include ballet, tap, ballroom, bellydance, jazz, hiphop and contemporary.
