Work/Study Scholarship
This scholarship open to dance professionals and teachers offers free tuition in exchange for helping with the onsite administration of the workshop.  This could include providing transportation in Santa Barbara for guest artists during the course of the workshop and running errands.  None of the items, however, will cause the student to miss any of the classes on the workshop agenda. Must have access to a car and have an active driver's license. Please submit a letter by email and explain your interest in the workshop.

Shirley Wynne Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship covers the cost of workshop tuition and the application and video fees and is offered with the dedicated young professional dancer and/or teacher in mind.  Please submit a letter of interest, a resume, a photo and a video clip of recent dance examples. If you are a teacher and no longer performing, please send a video clip of your choreography or dance reconstruction.

PLEASE NOTE: The cost of room and board (if necessary) are not covered by the scholarships listed above.

Please spread the word about these scholarship opportunities. It is rare that we are able to integrate the local history with dance history and we would love to see you!

Dear Students,

I am very grateful to Marci Hall for helping to plan this workshop. As you know, this workshop is self-produced by the NYBDC and we rely on dedicated administrators like Marci as well as volunteers in order to bring artists like Ana Yepes to the United States. I feel strongly about the quality and integrity of her work.  Unless a university invites her back to the States, this may be your only chance to study with her this side of the Atlantic.  Our Spanish/Mexican heritage in the States is a legacy shared by all citizens and for those who are not studying Spanish dance at the moment, this workshop is also for you!

Most sincerely,

Catherine Turocy, Artistic Director
