The Center for ReSource Conservation has partnered with the City of Boulder and Boulder County to bring you a variety of events and educational opportunities, all of which will feature a unique look back at the 2013 Flood. Registration is suggested and all events are open to the public.

Diversity & Excellence Grants fund innovative projects that promote inclusive excellence and diversity throughout the University of Colorado System. Grants of up to $3,000 each will be awarded to proposals that creatively advance the principles of diversity and inclusion in substantive ways. Grant proposals
may be submitted by CU faculty or staff, as individuals or as teams, but at least one of the participants is required to have faculty or staff status (students may be included on the team). Proposal Deadline: Friday, October 31, 2014

Our organization brings together students and faculty members who share a passion for the study of biology. We are affiliated with the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, but open to all students on campus and to the broader community interested in biology and environmental issues. The purpose of the club is to foster interactions among students, faculty, and the broader environmental and biological communities. Program Details and Application School of the Environment and Sustainability Series Over the past two years, CU-Boulder has explored prospects for creating greater synergies and fostering collaboration among the many faculty and programs centered on themes in the environment and sustainability. With commitments from the campus administration, we are moving forward with the creation of a new school that will further advance interdisciplinary scholarship, education, and community engagement in the environment and sustainability. This fall we are launching our inaugural colloquium series, which will feature forward thinking and inspiring examples of projects that integrate the many dimensions of environmental challenges and solutions. The School of the Environment and Sustainability Colloquium Series will provide the CU and Boulder community with provocative and insightful conversations that provide compelling illustrations of innovative work in the environment and sustainability taking place in Boulder and elsewhere. The colloquium series will be held most Wednesdays this fall semester from 3-4:30 pm in the Old Main Chapel. Light refreshments will be served from 3-3:30 pm, followed by the featured lecture and Q&A from 3:30-4:30 pm. Student/Faculty Symposium: Academic Freedom in the Classroom The Provost, Boulder Faculty Assembly, and CU Student Government (CUSG) have worked together on a annual series of discussions between faculty, staff, and students about issues related to campus climate. The first of the discussions is taking place on September 17th from 12-1:30pm in the UMC Gallery. The topic that will be discussed is Academic Freedom, and it's definition as defined by students, faculty, and staff. The goal of the event is to have a fruitful discussion between all parties about what Academic Freedom is and how it functions in a University setting. CUSG wants to encourage all students and staff to attend this event and participate in the dialogue. Come and collaborate with other key stakeholders on campus to help make a meaningful change in our campus community.
