EXERCISE CLASS AND SEMINAR SCHEDULE
       DID YOU KNOW:
That we now offer personal training!! That's right, we now offer personal training and our members are able to take advantage of this at a discounted rate!

As you know, we love our group exercise and LOVE having YOU in our group exercise classes. We also recognize that some individuals may require a bit more a personal approach. We also understand that some individuals may simply prefer a personal atmosphere when training.

Our goal is to offer services which allow all segments of the 50+ population with an outlet to be physically active a regular basis. With the new addition of personal training, we feel that we have closed a gap in that market.

See Maureen at the front desk, or simply talk to Joe, Silas, or Adam.

Labor Day has passed and summer is coming to a close. Don't be sad, Active Aging Week is back!

Led by the International Council on Active Aging (ICAA), Active Aging Week is an annual health promotion event held each year during the last week of September. The weeklong observance celebrates adults ages 50 and older as fully participating members of society and promotes the benefits of leading an active, healthier lifestyle. It also highlights the ability of older adults to live well, regardless of age or health conditions.

As you can see above, each day during Active Aging Week 2014 has a different focus. Normally we would host a different event for each day of the week in order to celebrate. This year, 2014, we are investing the majority of our resources into a HUGE Fall Festival which all of the Wellness members will be able to benefit HUGE from! With that being said, we will still host a few new items for Active Aging Week 2014.

Events for Active Aging Week 2014 Include:

-Zumba with our new Licensed Zumba Instructor, Jennifer Pate, on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Jennifer is a local instructor with experience with young adults up to adults in their 90's. You may have seen her instructing here at our last health fair for National Senior Health and Fitness Day with a group of folks from Plantation Village.

-Lunch and Learn with Staff Physical Therapist Annalisa Nieuwsma on Balance and Falls Prevention Throughout the Life Span. Trust me, this workshop can apply to everyone and Annalisa is a great speaker! Plus, there will be FREE food, like, lunch food! Not just finger food! This seminar will take place Wednesday, September 24th at 11:15am.

-For each day we will also send out educational emails with resources related to the theme of the day. Be on the look out in case they get sent to your Spam folder!

Otherwise, get ready for the Fall Festival in November!!
