Buffalo Green Code: Please send your comments by October 6, 2014!!!
Over the past few months, Mayor Brown has released public drafts for key components of the Buffalo Green Code, including the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO), Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP), and three Brownfield Opportunity Area (BOA) studies (Buffalo River Corridor, Buffalo Harbor, and Tonawanda Street Corridor).
Since these documents were publicly released, the Mayor's Office of Strategic Planning (OSP) has been hard at work holding dozens of meetings and evaluating the substantial input it has received from citizens across Buffalo. OSP Staff will soon be undertaking revisions to the Green Code components based on this community input. The updated Draft Green Code will then be submitted to the Common Council later this fall.
If you have written comments that have not been delivered already, please send them to OSP by October 6, 2014, to be considered for the updated Draft Green Code that will be submitted to the Common Council.
Once the Council accepts the Draft Green Code documents, they will initiate the formal public comment period under the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA).
Again, please provide your comments for the Draft Buffalo Green Code in writing no later than October 6, 2014. Comments can be submitted as follows:
