The Reunions magazine staff

Happy Labor Day!

Happy start of the military reunion season. And happy start of the 2015 reunion planning season. September is a start-over month, kids go back to school and there are strong signals summer is almost over. Now is when brand new, never before reunions start planning for 2015 and seasoned planners start thinking about how to top their last reunion. So 2015 reunion season: here we come!

Just getting started?

There's lots for you to dig into. Reunions magazine is the flagship of our efforts to help you plan a memorable reunion! There is a website that addresses all the issues and questions as you plan your reunion. We hope you'll return to it often. Our facebook page has news and discussion that may lead to new ideas and solutions. Use it to stay in touch and to find announcements of new developments of interest to reunion planners.

Finally, and very actively, is our Pinterest page with 39 boards and close to 6500 (and growing) pins addressing nothing but reunions, only reunions. These newsletters will poke your reunion memory monthly and if you just don't want to read, you can listen to reunion planning podcasts as well! If you don't find what you're looking for, just ask!

Wrap up your 2014 reunion

Not so fast. Before you move on to your next reunion OR just relax after your successful reunion, wrap up this reunion. Check out these suggestions.

Planning ahead is your only guarantee of success

In our Aug/Sep/Oct issue, which you should have received by now, we feature a whole section about where to have your reunion. But that is only the start, there is so much more online. Start with Getting Started (orange button on the far left on the homepage) for more answers to where? but also to when, how, how much and what to do when you get there. Read about and use the experience of other reunions as you start your 2015 reunion planning: now!

Busy workshop season

Will you be there?

Take advantage of one of many reunion planning workshops over the next couple months. We've added more military reunion planning workshops but most still concentrate on family reunions. Our editor, Edith Wagner, will be the speaker in Kissimmee, Florida, September 20th and she always loves to meet Reunions magazine readers. Most workshops have limited capacity, require pre-registration, and they're affordable: they're FREE! Check details.

Did you see the latest magazine cover?

Throughout our 25th volume, we will celebrate many reunions on our magazine covers. We are selecting pictures from our online Reunions Picture Gallery. If your reunion picture is not in the Gallery, it is not in the running to be on a cover. Or, if your reunion picture is in the gallery, you may suggest it for a cover. The pictures on these covers will be reunions who have never before graced one of our covers.

Speaking of covers, we are also looking for covers for these newsletters and our facebook page. Is your reunion "cover worthy"?

Some 2015 reunion fundraising starts right now

Wilson Family Reunion
For most reunions, money is always an issue. One of our contributions to the solution is to keep adding fundraising ideas to the magazine, our web page and Pinterest. Many suggestions (cookbook, memory book, quilt, mementos) require work far in advance of your reunion. So plan ahead! Send your unique ideas to share with other reunions!

Reunion prizes

If you're new here, you may not know that we have a giveaways and contests page with prizes that are reunions or prizes for reunions (mostly cash prizes). But, you can't win unless you enter so we encourage you to do that now and re-visit often to see what new's been added. Several deadlines coming right up so you should check out the list now!

Patronize our partners

None of our services, the magazine nor the web site would be possible without the support of our advertising partners. We urge you to contact advertisers from magazine pages and in Reunion Resources in the magazine and online. They are especially interested in and eager to serve your reunion. From Reunion Resources online, you can link directly to many from just one place. Check 'em out. You'll be glad you did ... and so will we.
