Yachad
Hello from the newest member
of the Yachad team!

Meet Kaety Ritchie:
the 2014-2015 AVODAH Corps Member

Hello everyone! I'm Kaety, Yachad's newest AVODAH Corps member.
I'm looking forward to the many conversations we'll be sharing over the next year and wanted to introduce myself via email first.

I am a recent graduate from George Mason University with a degree in public relations and sociology.  Although George Mason's Fairfax campus isn't too far from the District, I'm excited to be a part of the city.

My commitment to social justice is rooted in the Jewish idea of "keeping your head to the sky, with your feet planted firmly on the ground."  In other words, it is not enough to have the idea of helping others, it must also be put into action.  With Yachad, I'm getting a chance to put those ideas into action for the lower income DC homeowners.  I am looking forward to doing my part in building happy and safe homes through the sincere connections between Yachad, the families and communities we serve, and each and every one of you--our supporters who make this all possible.

This year, I'll be learning the ins and outs of housing in DC, working on a number of projects, and putting my public relations background to work on the social media side of things.  I'll also be answering any of your calls to the Yachad office!

I am so looking forward to connecting with you on the work that we will do Yachad, or together, this year.

Thank you for taking the time to meet me.
With a smile,
Kaety Ritchie
