4th Annual Loblolly Railroad Model Train Display

Loblolly Railroad

The Loblolly Railroad Model Train Exhibit is currently on display at the Nacogdoches Railroad Depot. Spectators can enjoy watching vintage steam and diesel engines pull passenger and freight cars around a scenic 12 ft by 16 ft replica of a typical East Texas town. Miniature lit buildings and detailed attractions are just a few of the things featured in the display. Admission is free. For more information, please call (936)468-3953.

Experience an evening of yuletide nostalgia at "An Old Fashioned Christmas" on December 5th from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Millard's Crossing Historic Village. The popular historical attraction will feature live theatrical performances of Christmas classics, carolers dressed in early 1900's clothing, live music, square dancing, scrumptious food and more. Jingle Bell Run 5K

Jingle Bell Run

Grab your sneakers and join in the fun at the 18th annual Jingle Bell Run Saturday, December 6th. The certified 5K run will start at 8:00 a.m. in downtown Nacogdoches, winding participants through the historic streets of the Oldest Town in Texas. Tour of Museums

Nutcracker display

Explore Nacogdoches' historical attractions and get a glimpse into Christmas' of past at the inaugural Tour of Museums 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. The Durst-Taylor Historic House, Nacogdoches Railroad Depot, Millard's Crossing Historic Village, Old University Building, Sterne-Hoya House Museum and Stone Fort Museum will be offering tours to the public and hosting various Christmas events at each of their locations. Visit all six museums for a chance to win a special prize. Admission is free, but you will need to pick up a ticket at the Visitor Center, 200 E. Main. Largest Lighted Parade in East Texas

Watch the largest lighted Christmas parade in East Texas wind its way through downtown Nacogdoches on Saturday, December 6th at 6:30 p.m. Celebrities Jonathan and Drew Scott of HGTV's Property Brothers and JD Scott of Great American Country TV's All-American Amusement Parks will be this year's guest judges and will be selecting a winner from the 100+ entries.
