Multi-Material Stewardship Western (MMSW) Invites you to an Information Session on Saskatchewan's New Recycling Program

 

Multi-Material Stewardship Western (MMSW) is pleased to invite Saskatchewan's community of collection service providers to a meeting and simultaneous webinar to introduce you to Multi-Material Stewardship Western's (MMSW) plan for managing a recycling program for residential waste packaging and paper in Saskatchewan.

 

The information session will cover the following topics: 

  • An overview of the Saskatchewan government's Household Packaging and Paper Stewardship Program Regulations and how it impacts municipalities and First Nations in Saskatchewan
  • An overview of MMSW's Waste Packaging and Paper Stewardship Plan
  • How MMSW will work with municipal and First Nations collectors of residential waste packaging and paper to implement and operate the new program
  • Next steps

About MMSW:

 

MMSW is a not-for-profit agency established to develop a product management program for residential waste packaging and paper to meet the requirements of The Household Packaging and Paper Stewardship Regulations in Saskatchewan. MMSW was established by industry to act on their behalf and fulfill their obligations to meet the requirements of the regulations and fund up to 75 per cent of municipalities' and First Nations' net costs to operate efficient and effective residential waste packaging and paper programs.
