Hi,
It looks like the weather is finally starting to warm up outside and that means soon we'll be back to hosting our weekly free Yoga in the Park classes on Wednesdays and enjoying SUP Yoga out on Christie Lake! Okay, 'soon' might be a little ambitious, but it IS inevitable that someday we'll be doing yoga together outside and this long, cold winter will be a fading memory. As the weather does start to get warmer, it's time to embrace the outdoors once again, but don't just drop your yoga practice! It's the key to feeling happy, healthy, inspired AND injury-free to do everything else that you love to do like running, biking, and climbing the Chedoke stairs for Team Moksha (hint, hint...)

Join Team Moksha in this year's Climb For Cancer!
One of our very favourite events of the year! Energy is high, smiles are bright, and high fives are flying.. All for an amazing cause!
This is year 3 for the MYH team, and once again we'll be running the cool down stretches and having our own friendly competition with the team from the Momentum Fitness Club. Whether you can climb one flight or ten, we want you on our team! All funds raised from the Climb for Cancer are donated to the Hamilton Juravinski Cancer Centre.
We want to know.. Who are you climbing for?

Easter Weekend Holiday Hours and $10 Drop-In Classes We are open every day over the Easter Weekend with a modified class schedule:
Friday, April 18 to Monday, April 21 inclusive:
8:00am Moksha 60 9:30am Sweat, Stretch & Unwind (SSU) 60 11:00am Yoga with Weights 45 12:30pm Moksha 60 2:00pm Moksha 60 4:00pm Moksha 60
No schedule changes for the month of April, but the $10 drop-in classes continue!
You can drop-in to any class scheduled at 8:00am, 10:00am and 2:00pm between Monday & Friday for only $10.

FUNdraising @ Moksha Yoga Hamilton!
EARTH HOUR 2014:
Our Earth Hour 2014 yoga class was a sold-out success again this year!
Our special candle light class with Jordan and live music by Aidan even made it into the Hamilton Spec!
Thanks to everyone who came out to support it and who helped us to raise awareness and more than $300 for the World Wildlife Fund (WWF).
KARMA CLASSES IN APRIL:
Every Friday night at 8:00pm, we host a weekly 'karma class'. Karma classes are regular Moksha Yoga classes held 'by-donation'. We ask for a $7 donation to participate, but you can always donate more! All the funds we raise go to our "Karma Charity of the Month".
YOGA GLOW JAM FOR YOGA AFFECTS YOUTH:
On Saturday, April 12th at 8:00pm, Anthony will be leading a fundraising yoga class in support of his Yoga Affects Youth program, helping to bring more yoga to schools.
Anthony will be teaching an energizing and uplifting yoga class to great music, and you'll be glowing in the dark! It's going to be a Saturday night yoga party that you won't want to miss! For your $20 donation, you will also receive a copy of the playlist and glow sticks for your practice. You can register in advance now to reserve your spot, and bring your cash donation with you when you come for the fundraiser class.

Workshops with Dr. Nicole & News from the Health Centre YOGAnatomy WITH DR. NICOLE:
To keep Climb For Cancer stair climbers feeling limber, strong and injury-free, Dr. Nicole's upcoming YOGAnatomy classes are inspired. Those registered on Team Moksha can even come to the following classes on the house (more incentive to join Team Moksha)! Upcoming Saturdays at 9:30am: April 5th: Calves, Ankles & Feet April 12th: Hips May 3rd: Knees
YOGA FOR CYCLISTS:
Start off the cycling season with a Yoga for Cyclists workshop-style hot yoga class with Dr. Nicole on Saturday, May 3rd at 2:00pm.
Designed with the cyclist in mind, this 75 minute workshop will teach you how to avoid cycling injuries and gain the strength and flexibility in your legs, lower back and hips that will give you more power on your pedals!
Beginners are welcome and no previous yoga experience is necessary.
Go for a nice long ride in the morning and then ride right over to class. A great way to stretch out after a nice, long ride!
FOAM ROLLER YOGA WORKSHOP:
Saturday, May 17th at 2:00pm - 3:30pm (the Saturday of the May long weekend, just in case you're still in town!). Learn how to soothe tight muscles using your own body weight and a foam roller! It's Ah-mazing!!!
Dr. Nicole will lead you through a reduced-heat 90 minute Foam Roller & Yoga Workshop that will teach you how to safely use a foam roller to improve flexibility, balance, strength and muscular awareness. Spaces are limited so register today!
HEALTH CENTRE NEWS:
Did you hear? The Health Centre @ MYH is moving to a new home around the corner at 86 Main St, Dundas (in the Tim Horton's/Anytime Fitness plaza)!
We're going from Roommates to Neighbours, but we'll always be Best Friends! All the same discounts between our businesses still apply.
The new Health Centre will have more space for this amazing team to grow and expand! They are making the move mid-April. |

Upcoming Workshops @ MYH
INTRO TO HOT YOGA:
On the last Sunday of each month, MYH's Yoga Advisor will be offering a hot yoga basics workshop from 2:00-3:30pm. It is designed for beginners, but is open to anyone who wants to ask questions, learn modifications and get more personalized attention for their practice.
Next scheduled date is Sunday, April 27th at 2:00pm. Sign up online today!
ARM BALANCING 101:
On Sunday, May 4th at 2:00pm, join Anthony and a team of Assistants for a playful 90 minute workshop that will help you learn how to get off the ground and fly! It's not as challenging as you might think! Let our team show you how to shift your weight and gain the leverage necessary to lift yourself up. Even if you don't get up this time, you'll have a goal to strive for and the steps to get you there sooner.
MOTHER'S DAY YOGA WORKSHOP:
This Mother's Day, Sunday, May 11th, 2014, join two of our Hot Yoga Mamas, Elda & Martha, for a very special yoga workshop for Moms and kids over 6.
In this non-heated yoga practice, you and your loved one(s) will be guided through a fun and inspiring yoga class that will incorporate yoga poses, music, meditation, partner yoga and lots of laughs!
Designed for Moms and Kids to practice together. All children over 6 years of age are welcome.
