About Our Venues

On first day Rosh Hashanah morning, Kol Nidre and on Yom Kippur morning, parallel services will be held at both Temple Israel and Bedford Middle School.  All other services, as listed below, will take place at Temple Israel.  Please attend services at the location indicated on your ticket.

Selichot Service, Saturday, September 20

Temple Israel will host Temple Shalom at our annual joint observance of Selichot this Saturday evening. Join us for a meaningful musical beginning to the High Holy Day season.

Childcare during worship services

Childcare is available during Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur morning services as follows: 

Childcare for children ages 2-6 years old will be provided at Temple Israel.  Please call Mary Tucci at (203) 227-1293 ext. 333 to register.  Advance registration requested.

Children in Grades 2-6 are invited to participate in High Holy Day activities and services at Bedford Middle School. Advance registration is not required but please arrive early to sign in. Please call Bryan Bierman at (203) 227-1293 ext. 314 if you have any questions about High Holy Day activities for grades 2-6.

See the Torah unrolled from beginning to end and join in the celebration with singing and dancing! Consecration for all new religious school students is also held on this night.

Rides to Temple Israel High Holy Day Services
For Seniors and the Visually Impaired

Want to get to services but not comfortable driving?  Temple Israel has a new partnership with ITNCoastalCT , a driving service that will pick you up at home and give you arm in arm, door through door assistance.   

 

If you are interested, please call the Temple Office at (203) 227-1293 ext. 333 and speak to Mary Tucci.  Mary will provide you with all of the related details.  Please call us on or before Monday, September 22 at 10:00 am if you need a ride for Rosh HaShanah.

 

Rides to and from Temple Israel are free, as is your ITNCoastalCT membership.  Rides to other locations incur a charge.
