About Canine Rescue of Central PA
Canine Rescue of Central PA, Inc., is a 501c(3) nonprofit organization. They are an all-volunteer group that is dedicated to providing assistance to any dog in a helpless situation.
The organization was formed in 2002 and has made tremendous progress in establishing another valuable resource for our furry friends. It is their mission to get involved in as many situations as possible to provide sanctuary, shelter, and homes to as many dogs as they can.
They also are very focused on creating strategic partnerships with other rescues and similar organizations in an attempt to share resources as well as expand public awareness of the overwhelming problem of homeless animals.

Our adoption process encompasses several steps in an attempt to ensure the best possible placement of an animal with the most appropriate home. In addition to an application and time spent with the dog of interest, a home visit with the candidate is also a step in the adoption. We do charge an adoption fee of $238.50 as well as require the completion of an adoption agreement. Our dogs have all their shots, are heart worm tested and are spayed or neutered. Our volunteers walk and socialize the dogs and we also have trainers that work with many of the dogs. *PLEASE NOTE: we do
not typically adopt out further then 1-2 hours travel time out of our area

PETS OF THE WEEK
TUCKER & CIROC

Tucker's Info...

"HI! I'm TUCKER! I was alone and afraid. I don't understand where my family went. A nice lady took me in. She had two older dogs that I ignored at first, but I decided they were okay so I started to get to know them. She taught me how to SIT and WAIT for my food and to put my leash on. I AM a SMART boy after all! I liked watching TV at her house too! I LOVED to sit close to her & snuggle!. I'm now at a safe place called Canine Rescue of Central PA where all the nice people say how CUTE & SWEET I am! They say I'm around 6 years old. I'm a little nervous in this new place with all the noisy dogs, I'd REALLY like to have my own family to teach me new things, be my new BFF, and I'd promise to be their constant companion!"

CIROC

Ciroc's Story...

Hi! My name is Ciroc! I was wandering the streets when a nice man found me and brought me to a shelter. CRCPA has now taken me in and is trying to find me a new home. I am friendly and polite, and I am a big cuddle bug who is just waiting for my furever family!

Ciroc (pronounced Sir Rock) is about five years old and a big lug of a Pitbull mix. Although he looks like a big toughie, he really is quite a big marshmallow who loves to give affection. He was recently introduced to a dominant female dog about his own size, and, although she pushed Ciroc around quite a bit, he would not fight with her and submitted to her.

Ciroc loves children and is fine with some other dogs. He will also ignore cats, as long as they do not come after him.

So, are you looking for a big goofy dog? Then, Ciroc is your guy!
