The summer reading program for children in Massachusetts this year has "Fizz, Boom, Read!" as its theme -- and the Edgartown Library has been drawing throngs of young readers with its hands-on science programs.

Fun with oobleck in July.

In July, kids visited the library to make their own Oobleck, learn about horseshoe crabs and see real military robots in action. In August, the fun continues. You can download your own copy of the full program brochure here, or follow the listing below for the month of August:
Friday, August 1: At noon on the lawn, the storybook character, Lady Bug Girl, makes a live appearance for today's story hour program.
