Enhance your parenting skills through this interactive, powerful and practical 15-hour course that teaches effective strategies to redirect your gifted and/or twice-exceptional child's behavior, from infants to teens, using a positive approach to parenting.

This course is based on Melanie Prager's Empowered Parenting Basics, now customized for gifted and 2e children. The intensity and asynchronous development of gifted and 2e children can make parenting a particular challenge. In this intensive course, parents will discover hands-on parenting skills designed to help improve their child's behavior while enhancing self-esteem. Certified parent educator Melanie Prager will provide a combination of instruction and role play to provide parents with practical tools and techniques they can begin using as soon as they get home.

•
Better understand giftedness, learning differences and your child
Learn to both accept and appreciate the uniqueness of your child
Learn to understand what your child is communicating to you
Learn tools to reduce nagging, threatening, bribing and power struggles
Identify and manage attention getting behavior
Understand temper tantrums and the role of time outs
Find out the simple 3 step approach to setting limits and how to follow through
•  Learn how to promote agreements with your parenting partner and create family harmony
