There is Still Time to File an Extension

The tax deadline for personal returns and partnerships is next Tuesday, April 15th.  If you are not ready to file, an extension needs to be filed.

We can file your extension, just complete the DG Anderson Extension Request and return it by April 14th.

Are Extensions a Red Flag?

No.  In fact, there are many who argue the opposite - that extensions are a way to stay out of the general audit pool and ensure accuracy.  We know with 100% certainty that accuracy and consistency reduce your chance of an audit, so if you have to choose between filing a rushed return or filing an extension - choose the extension.

Many a taxpayer has had to go back and file an amended return because they forgot an important piece of information, received a late K-1 or restated 1099, 1098 or W-2.  An extension will give you an extra period of time (5 to 6 months, depending on the return) to get everything in order.
