TRINITY: HERE AND NOW
Faith. People. Tradition. Be a part of it all!
Hello!

We hope you will enjoy this issue of our weekly e-newsletter. Each week we'll keep you informed on what's happening here at Trinity - news from the week, what's coming up, and how you can be a part of it. This should reach your inbox each Friday giving you a heads up for the upcoming week beginning Sunday. We hope this helps you plan your week, and maybe even provides a little inspiration to get you through it! Be sure to "Like" us on Facebook to stay in the know between emails.

Step Up, Trinity!
That was the message that many of you heard from John Shinkle, David Young and Father Tim on this past Wednesday night. As the three of them explained, Trinity as a parish is as strong as each of them can recall in terms of energy, programs, ministries and, most importantly, our togetherness. We are attracting new members and headed in the right direction. From a financial perspective, recent vestries have relied upon the Count Me In Fund to fill a gap in our budget. Whereas unpledged sources account for nearly 1/3 of Trinity's 2014 budget,
the Count Me In Fund represents 17% or nearly $161,000.

This is not sustainable, as the fund will be depleted within a few years at this rate. However, we can fix this by 1.) making a pledge and 2.) stretching to pledge what you can. As your fellow parishioners heard on Wednesday, they were challenged to prayerfully consider increasing their pledge by 10% for 2015. We hope that you will join them and rise to this wonderful cause, as we plan on blessing the pledges on All Saints Sunday, November 2. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact David Young, Junior Warden and Financial Stewardship Chair, or any member of the Vestry. We are Trinity, and now is our time to Step Up!

The leadership of the church and anyone who works or comes in contact with children are required to have this training, but the class will be open to whomever is interested. Please contact Fr. Nick Hull if you are interested! Call him at (706) 322-5569 ext. 308 or email him at [email protected].

Children's Offering Update

For over a year now Trinity's kids have been taking up their own offering from the other kids - and some "big kids" at heart. They alternate monthly between InReach projects for our church and outreach projects for our community.

Throughout the summer months members from the Trinity sponsored Scout Troop 6 passed the children's offering basket. All proceeds collected over the summer by the scouts went directly to help make much needed repairs to the Scout hut owned by Trinity parish. In September all children's offerings went towards Trinity's discretionary fund. Offerings given throughout the month of October will benefit Valley Interfaith Promise. The money will help them purchase proper seat belts and required child safety upgrades for car seats in their vans.

Be sure to provide chances for your kids or grandchildren to earn a few bucks during the week so they can proudly give back at church. Email Katie Damke or call her at (256) 282-4677 for info.
Follow Us on Instagram!
Do you have an itchy shutter finger? We do, too! If you are on Instagram check out the hashtag #trinityepiscolga. Folks like Fr. Tim (@tgdaddy) and his wife Deana (@deanamg) along with others on Trinity's staff find plenty of photo inspiration around the church. If you take a picture on your smartphone or tablet while you're at the church (or a church function away from church!) and are on Instagram, be sure to tag the photo with the hashtag shown above. Flower Memorials & Thanksgivings
Our Flower Guild is dedicated to glorifying God's beauty each Sunday and throughout the week by preparing our altar flowers and greenery. The ladies on our four alternating teams work very hard at arranging the flowers and greenery and they do it with such care. They are truly a blessed and talented bunch making the most creative and simply stunning arrangements.

If you would like to provide flowers on a Sunday as a memorial for someone or in thanksgiving, please contact Sally Walden at (706) 327-7212 or email her here for information on pricing per altar and dates available.
