Visit the fort encampment and walk among the sutlers selling wares, trade demonstrations, entertainers, children's colonial games, and military demonstrations as well. Alexandria to Canoe Creek State Park Alexandria
Mutual Benefit Group's Relay for Life team will host its 4th Annual Walktoberfest 5K Run/Walk to benefit the American Cancer Society. The race will be held on Saturday, October 11 at the Rails to Trails Lower Trail in Alexandria. Registration begins at 8:30 am and the race starts at 9 am. Pre-register by September 24 for $15 and be guaranteed a race T-shirt. Registrations received after September 24 are $20 and T-shirts are subject to availability thereafter. Top three male and female runners in each age bracket will be awarded.
