EPICentre Celebrates First Year Anniversary

Throughout the past year, the EPICentre has provided an outlet for over 2000 youth to get involved in entrepreneurship events through Campus Linked Accelerators (CLA), became a second home to 13 start ups, and created 65 jobs through the companies kickstarted in the incubation space.  READ MORE

EPIC Blue Sky Competition: Win up to $1500!
 
This idea competition allows students to develop 2-minute video pitches in multi-disciplinary teams. The event is hosted in March, but applications are accepted at any time. Eligible applications must come from students from the University of Windsor or St. Clair College and teams of 2-4 students made up of 2 different disciplines.  READ MORE  
Verstraete family honour entrepreneurial spirit of parents with donation   

The University of Windsor's EPICentre has received a $5000 donation from the Roy Verstraete family to honour the entrepreneurial spirit of their father and mother, Camille and Juliana Verstraete. This is in addition to a previous $2500 donation in March 2015 to support one position annually in the University's EPIC Founders program.  READ MORE

Mike Murad of Pursue Sports, currently one of EPICentre's incubator members, recently met with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau during a recent trip to England.  READ MORE  
EPIC Cross-Border Program: Winter 2016 Cohort    

The EPIC Cross-Border Grant has begun this term with five successful startups looking to expand their market to the U.S. With the help of funding from the Cross-Border Institute, these entrepreneurs will be spending the next 3-4 months researching their best entry into Michigan.  READ MORE
Lancer's Lair 

The Lancer's Lair is being offered as a part of the UWill Discover undergraduate research conference and is available to all conference presenters who wish to explore how to develop and apply their research work to a marketable business concept.  READ MORE  
UWindsor students compete at UofTHacks

Students from Windsor travelled to Toronto to compete at UofTHacks, an annual student hackathon held at the University of Toronto which took place from January 22nd - 24th. The main objective of the event was to build anything computer related, but more importantly, to learn during the process.  READ MORE 
UWin Tech Club Visits Velocity Trek and Google

EPICentre recently sent the UWin Tech Club to Waterloo for a tour of the start-up community. They attended the Velocity Fund Finals, Communitech, the Velocity Garage and Google's new office. READ MORE

On March 4 th and 5 th, Dalhousie University will be hosting the fourth edition of Canada's Business Model Competition®.
