Dear vtTA Members & Supporters,

We hope you are planning to attend the 8th annual Vermont Tech Jam on Oct. 24 & 25. The Vermont Technology Alliance has been an organizing sponsor of this free tech expo and job fair since its beginning, and we're excited to be part of this year's event.

Besides showcasing some of the state's top tech businesses, events include a tinker showcase, hands-on workshops on prototyping video games and building computers, and a series of 10-minute presentations highlighting leaders in Vermont's tech ecosystem. You can find the schedule here.

The vtTA is presenting the third annual Tech Jam awards, with a generous sponsorship from the Merchants Bank. The "Jammies," will recognize a Vermont technology innovation and a Vermont technology ambassador. We received a range of outstanding nominations. We're pleased to announce that the finalists for the Innovation Award are Greensea Systems, Inc., Stone Environmental, Inc., and IBM. The finalists for the Ambassador award are Girl Develop It, Bradley Holt and Jason Pelletier of Found Line, and the University of Vermont Computer Science Department. The winners will be announced Oct. 24.

At our booth, in addition to telling visitors about the Alliance, will provide information on the Jam and job openings. Let us know if you have job openings you'd like us to share with attendees.

Thank you to NeuEon for sponsoring the vtTA booth and PCC for partnering with us to sponsor a booth for StartupVT at the Jam. And special thanks go to all of these sponsors who are participating in our Tech Jam program ad: Aerie Consulting, Bear Code, Brandthropology, Champlain College, Competitive Computing, Davis & Hodgdon, Dealer.com, Dinse, Knapp & McAndrew, Empower Mobility, FairPoint Communications, FirstLight, Coldwell Banker Hickok & Boardman Realty, iSystems, Logic Supply, Merchant's Bank, Merritt, Merritt & Moulton, NeuEon, PCC, Renewable NRG, Union Street Media and Vermont HITEC.
