Seashore Knit  We have been so eager to market this fabric with its soft hues of sea green and sea blue teamed with navy and off-white. The added sparkle of silver dust is the finishing touch to a stunning printed jersey. Shades of each color flow from fully saturated to dusty within each modified chevron across the fabric. Stunning choice for this season's maxi skirts, dresses or palazzos. Viscose/elastane.  imported from France.

viscose knit

Happy and carefree, this viscose jersey knit is a great choice for tops and dresses this season. Soft mint green, dove gray and citrus yellow overlap with soft royal and midnight on a white ground.  The small scale print is very wearable and can also work well as an element in a mixed print design.  Imported from France.

stretch cotton satin

We loved this lightweight cotton satin stretch for warm weather separates.  Light enough for a structured top, but stable for skirts, pants, dresses or jackets.  It's your go-to solid for this season's wardrobe.

Also available in: Intense Orchid, Jade Teal, Fiery Coral,  Parchment, Thyme and Hot Pink.

cotton pique

What is summer without white piqu?  It just isn't summer!  The fabric we found, originally milled for Anne Klein,  is wonderful...cotton/elastic in a fine birdseye weave. The bit of stretch makes it perfect for dresses, skirts, or skorts. Structured tops would work as well.
rayon challis

Delicate in color and in design, this floral viscose challis is perfect for summer dresses, skirts or blouses. Strawberry red and soft teal dominate the floral bouquets highlighted with pink salmon and bits of yellow green foliage.  The soft white ground makes a mellow backdrop to this garden party.
cotton stretch denim

Brightly colored without screaming, this lightweight denim will work up well in skirts, shorts or jackets for summer and transition. Imported from Italy. Cotton/spandex. 58 in

Kathi made 2 tops, one for herself and another for her daughter!

Let's see what you have been sewing!

Email me a picture of your sewing project and I will post it in an upcoming newsletter!     Colleen

When I got the fabric Champlain I knew I had to make a dress with simple lines ? the fabric was so rich and lightweight! I used the pattern #108B from Burda 5/2011.

When my friend saw the completed work she said I looked like a million bucks! Thank you SawyerBrook!

Lovely day to eve look with this silk shantung. Still available from The Back Room.

Thanks for sharing, Guzell, it's a great dress!

I made my daughter and myself a top using Pastiche. I used the sewaholic belcarra pattern. This pattern is for woven fabrics so I cut it one size smaller and used the Pastiche knit panel. This fabric is wonderful and there was plenty for this pattern. When my daughter saw my top she asked me to make her one. I used a contrast fabric on the neck and arm bands for her version. I can't wait to wear this top.

Thanks,

Kathi

Very innovative use of the pattern and fabric! The staff like both! Judy in particular likes the stripe trim...

Thanks for sharing Kathi
