St. James Catholic School E-Newsletter
Mission Statement: St. James Catholic School is a Christ-centered community inspired by the charism of the IHM Sisters that prepares students for a life of learning and service to God.
Creative Learning

Students learn in creative ways every day at St. James!  Seventh graders made diagrams of the six stages of mitosis cell division on Oreos using sprinkles. First graders performed contraction surgeries to help them learn this concept!  Even little ones who toured the school followed a scavenger hunt to learn about the school!
Community Outreach

St. James was recognized for their donation to local veterans. Students collected $50 0 for veterans in need and students from our Military Family Lunch Bunch met to present the check! God Bless you all for your hard work, and a big thank you to Mrs. Kane, Mrs. Goette, and Mrs. Myers for heading up this group!
Father-Daughter Dance

What a "sweet" event the Father Daughter Dance was this year! There were tons of Dads and their girls dancing the night away and creating wonderful memories!  Congratulations to Anna Grace Summerlin and her Dad who received the Sister Janet Dancing Queen Award!  A huge thank you for the hard work of organizers Jen Wiggins and Katie Fallon!
Proud of our Graduates

We are so proud of our graduates at St. James Catholic School!  Here are the January highlights (described left to right.)  Kara Hooper Ford received Business in Savannah's Generation NEXT award (honoring Savannah's rising leaders that are under 40) for her work with Abshire Public Relations. T he Santa Cruz Warriors announced that the team has acquired Daniel Coursey from the Erie BayHawks in the 2016 NBA D-League Draft. SVA student, Emilye Eischeid, was chosen as WSAV's Vaden Scholar Athlete of the month!  Wow!
