Nikkita moved into our Mama Nyumba property with her children in 2003 and successfully exited the program into independent living this September.
While in our program, the Client Service Coordinator worked alongside Nikkita to develop a resume and other job training skills. Nikkita's family participated in many of the offerings of the residential program including a self-esteem course and a youth program. We are so proud of Nikkita, and will be cheering her on as she works to complete her degree to become a pharmacy technician. Way to go, Nikkita! We couldn't be prouder!

Washington University HOPE Tutors
The Washington University HOPE Campus tutors are back with us this school year. They visit children who reside at our Mama/Kaya property a couple of days each week to volunteer their time tutoring. The children enjoy their time with the tutors and appreciate the knowledge each tutor brings.
A BIG thank you to each of the tutors and to Washington University in general for their HOPE Campus Tutor program.
