Jr. Blues Send Coach Across Ocean
   Coach Visits Russia

Coach Tony Zasowski went to Russia this month to work with Russian hockey players at Icestyles Hockey School in Mozhaysky, Russia. He worked side by side with coaches of CSKA Moscow, Spartak Moscow, and Dynamo Moscow hockey academies lead by Sergey Suyarkov. Sergey's impressive hockey resume is defined by the fact that 18 of the 22 players he coached at CSKA in 2012 were drafted in the KHL. "It was great to see how Russian hockey coaches teach the skills of skating, shooting, passing, and puck-handling." said Coach Zasowski. "In Russia I got to see first hand how much emphasis they put into development of all hockey players and look forward toputting some of those practices into our players."

While in Russia, Coach Zasowki got a chance to sit down with 2014 Draft Pick Nickolay Pavlov's family. Also Coach got to meet with other players and their families to speak about possible futures with the Jr. Blues.

It was not all work for coach as he did find time to see some of the sites in Moscow.
Jr. Blues at the Sweet Corn Festival
   Sweet Corn Recap

This past weekend, July 18th and 19th, we sent Gilly and our Slap Shot game out to the Chatham Sweet Corn festival. Gilly handed out high fives and posed for many pictures, he was even lucky enough to pose with both Chatham Sweet Corn Queens!

The Slap Shot game was a great opportunity for families to enjoy themselves with some friendly competition. Many father-son duos tried to show up one-another, even mom stepped in to show both of them up.

If you didn't make it out to the festival you missed out on an opportunity to have fun with us. Make sure to keep up on our next events by following us on Twitter, liking us on Facebook, and checking our website out at www.jrblues.com.
