      Welcome To Monday Afternoon Roundtable With Millionday!

    [millionday] ok here we go  --  Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki won the most seats in Iraq's elections but fell short of a majority on Monday, leaving him in the driver's seat to retain his post despite vocal opposition.

The results from the election commission showed Maliki's State of Law alliance garnered 92 out of 328 parliamentary seats, with the incumbent himself winning more than 721,000 personal votes. Both were by far the highest such figures from the April 30 election.

 But he still fell short of a majority, meaning he will have to win the support of rivals from across the communal spectrum, some of whom have sharply criticized Maliki and refused to countenance his bid for a third term in office.

Tlar         Relax everybody.  This is a parliamentary system.  Maliki most likely will not even be the nominee select from the SOL.  Remember nominating rules for the NA were recently changed and backroom deals have been made.

 Hakim will also get to nominate a PM as will Sadr.  These nominees will then face a secret ballot in which only the heads of the blocks will vote on.

Ralph    Iraq: PM's group is biggest election winner

The results boost Nouri al-Maliki's chances for a new term, though he still needs to approach other groups in order to secure a broader majority coalition inside parliament that will get the first crack at forming a government.

revealed the governor of the Iraqi Central Abdel Basset Turki from near the opening of branches of U.S. banks and the French and Lebanese in Iraq.

He said the Central Bank of Iraq has a bill to regulate the work of banks and anti-money laundering as well as the draft of the new law of the Iraqi Central Bank.

Politics -

Maliki is finished.  There are certain articles that continue to appear that he has a chance but even those are beginning to wain.  Numerically the odds are totally against him. 

The voting results will be either announced Monday or Tuesday.  They will be official.

 It is expected that the coalition will have a total of about 185-190 MP's from groups both within the NA combined with the Sunni's and Kurds. 

The SOL is expected to be about 90 and if it turns out that it is that high, it will only be because Maliki and the SOL stole 2 million ballots and 7 MP's from Diyala.

So we are back to a possible rv using a long weekend coming in order to load up the banks again. Southwest on high alerts again. The main bank plan has not change, all that will stick to the original plan will get there emails and will be treated right and will get the best rate treatment available.
 
I have read some stories pertaining to delays of weeks and even years, I just will suggest to all to find out who these people represent or work for, for this delay topic just isn't true. Sections or countries elsewhere are getting on with there exchange movements and this issue alone is forcing pressure on the person in charge here in the U.S. to set date on this Global Currency Reset.
 
All 204 countries will come into actions soon.

Specialists expect Iraq to renew the request from Washington to protect Iraqi funds abroad

There has been much available to read about "alleged" actions of the Iraqi's in preparation of the May 22 date when their funds will no longer be protected by the US. Most of what has been read wants us to believe that the Iraqi's will take care of their own funds after the 22nd.

Well now we hear from a member of the Finance Committee that is making noise that today Iraq will seek to have the US extend that protection. Talk about waiting to the last minute....but then again this is Iraq.

The final decision will lie in the hands of the Finance Ministry and the COM.

[Rocky49] Two things give me hope it is soon. At the end of last week the banks moved a lot of money to support their reserves. Then Forex traded 350,000 tades in 48 hours a time frame that ususally handles only 50,000 trades. I hope that means something.
