Worship with us this Sunday!
Join us this Sunday for Traditional Worship at 9:30am or Informal Worship at 11:00am. Our scriptures are Psalm 19 and Luke 4:14-21 with a sermon entitled Nextensions of the Spirit. Jesus is in the synagogue reading scripture from the prophet Isaiah just after his baptism in the wilderness. The passage is his purpose: preach good news to the poor; proclaim release to the prisoners; recovery of sight to the blind; liberate the oppressed; proclaim the year of Lord's favor. Where are these things happening today? How are you giving/receiving these gifts?

Reminder about 2016 pledges.

Thanks to all of the generous members and friends who have completed and submitted your 2016 pledges. For those of you who haven't, please consider submitting your pledges soon - pledge cards are available in the Gathering Space. Our Stewardship Commission and Church Council are working on the 2016 budget, and having pledges helps us plan wisely for the coming church year.  Council will be meeting on Saturday to review the proposed budget for 2016, and the budget will be submitted to the congregation at the winter congregational meeting on February 7 after our 10am One Family Worship Service.

Questions? Please call John Dwyer, Convener of the Stewardship Commission at 314-821-6073. Want to submit a pledge without fussing with a card? Please email Melinda, our Financial Administrator - [email protected]

The Parkway Health and Physical Education Department invites parents and community members to preview the proposed Sexual Health Education Curriculum from 5 - 8 p.m. on Monday, January 25 at Parkway Central Middle School, located at 471 N. Woods Mill Road in Chesterfield 63017. The Sexual Health Curriculum has been extensively studied and discussed with a community Advisory Team for the past two years. Modifications are being proposed to better address the needs of our students regarding the development of healthful relationships with others, developing body awareness and health practices that aid personal body care, developing appreciation for various personalities and identities, and developing awareness of the various risks to their sexual health.

The public may preview the proposed curriculum, as well as resources that will support the curriculum, anytime between 5 - 8 p.m. Participants will be able to review and provide feedback on student learning outcomes, sample lessons, recommended multimedia and examples of parent communication tools. District staff will also be on hand to answer questions regarding the proposed curriculum, which is scheduled to be implemented in the 2016-17 school year pending approval by the Parkway Board of Education.
If you have any questions regarding the Sexual Health Preview Night, please feel free to contact the Parkway Healthy Youth Programs office at 314-415-7098.
