Haggin Oaks Women's Week
June 9-13: Volunteer to help check-in participants between 5:15-6:00pm.  Volunteers are welcome to participate in the activities after completing duties!

US Senior Open 
Don't forget about the 2015 Senior Open at Del Paso.  EWGA Sacramento has agreed to supply marshalls for the 16th hole, so plan on volunteering on June 22-28 2015!  Click HERE for more information.

On Tuesday, June 3, we had a great time at Barbara Ford-Ripley's house celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the Sacramento Chapter!

The final leg of competition before the Championship on June 7th was at Bing Maloney on Saunday June 1, and showed the gals are 'getting their game faces on' ... some great net scores for Vicki Philpott (with her first sub-80 round and a net score of 63) followed by her sister, Janet Cino with a net 64.  Not to be overlooked are Martha Messineo and Tammy Pinnick (net 66) and Chao Chen (net 67) - nice playing!! Marsha Suter, Camille Sylvester, Kathleen Gallup, Karen Zamarripa, Sharon Blume and Clare Payne finished with net 68.  Kris Corbridge, Tillie Melton, Shelley Van Drimmelen and Leslie Lang had 69's.  Lori Lucius and Laura Maupin posted net 71 ... 

 

The day's winners were Sharon Blume and Karen Zamarripa with a total of 27 points who squeaked by Tammy Pinnick and Laura Espinoza with 26.  Our closest to the pin winner was Martha Messineo just 7' 10" from the hole on #3.

 

Pam Katros and Shelley Van Drimmelen won the league (AGAIN!!) with a team total of 99 (followed by Marcia Whiting and Lori Lucius with 90 and Karen Zamarripa and Sharon Blume with 89).  Shelley took home the prize for most single points earned - 50 points - just beating out Pam and Marcia who each had 49.  Theresa Stamey (who played the season with a torn rotator cuff) won the prize for the least number of points with 21 1/2.  All the winners received Haggin Oaks gift cards and our lucky losers went home with $10 gift cards from Golf Galaxy.    

 

So now we'll see who can sink those putts without concessions by their playing partners ... hope everyone plays well next Saturday at our Chapter Championship!

Even if you didn't participate in the first short game clinic at Haggin Oaks, you can still sign up for the next two clinics.  Just use the button below and click on Register (ignore the information that tells you that registration is closed - as long as you can click on the Register button, you can register!!)

 

 

 
September 19-21 -- Weekend Getaway

   

Do you want to get more involved in our chapter??  

 

We are looking for a few good women to work on the weekly eBlast ... this is a great way to get involved!!  The eBlast is our primary way of communicating with our members, so the editor has a crucial role!

 

 

You need to have several hours each week that you can spend on the eBlast (currently it is sent out on Fridays, but any date would be OK) ... though if more than one person is interested in working on it, you may not need that much time.  You need to be comfortable with the computer, and willing to learn the system that we use (Constant Contact).  It helps if you know some HTML, but that is NOT required.
