Take your bike for a spin around the city, BUST a sweat at our new kickboxing classes, splash in a pool of pumpkins and more. Fitness Center Survey - What's Your Opinion? 

We are happy to announce that the weight training and cardio equipment in the Gibson-Bethel Community Center Fitness Center will be replaced with new, state-of-the-art equipment this year!  Please take a few moments to help us select the fitness equipment that best meets your needs and expectations by filling out this survey.

Cycle the City   

 

Join us for a fun and relaxing five (5) mile ride through South Miami. Explore your city, neighborhoods, and parks with family and friends. The ride is safe and easy. Bring your own bike.  Water and snacks will be provided by Mack Cycle and South Miami Bike Shop. This event is FREE.

Dunkin' for Pumpkins
 
Splash in a pool of pumpkins before you decide which one to take home.  Decorating stations will be available on-site.  Family swim time will be open until 6:30 p.m. Admission is $1 per person, includes a pumpkin, while supplies last.  Children must come with an adult.

Safe Streets Halloween
 
Hundreds of young witches, monsters , princesses and super heroes of all shapes and sizes will be taking the streets of South Miami to trick or treat on October 31, 2015. Beginning at 4:00p Sunset Drive (from US1 to Red Road) will be blocked off from traffic so kids can show off their costumes and collect goodies. Come dressed to impress!

Homecoming Weekend!

Come and support the South Miami Grey Ghost Football and Cheerleading teams for their Homecoming games at Palmer Park this weekend.  Pink uniform additions highlight their support for breast cancer awareness.

NEW Kickbox RX Classes

This class blends components of kickboxing, strength training and core conditioning into one dynamic class. Want to try it out for FREE before you register?  Classes will be held at the Gibson-Bethel Community Center.

One Day Camp (Oct. 30, 2015)
 
One Day Camp is available for youth (K-8) at the Gibson-Bethel Community Center during Miami-Dade County Public School calendar Teacher Planning Days.

The next One Day Camp is Oct. 30th.  Registration will be open on Wednesday, Oct. 21st at 8:30 a.m.  Space is limited.  First come, first serve. 
Let's Get This Party Started!  
 
Come celebrate your birthday party at Murray Park Aquatic Center, located at 6701 SW 58 Place. Our aquatic facility features a splash pad for toddlers and main pool sports a zero-depth entry for all ages. His and hers locker rooms are equipped with showers and lockers (must bring your own lock). 

Rental Fees:
1-35 guests ~ $265
36-64 guests ~ $315

Friendly Reminder - We're Now Accepting Plastic! 
 
SWIPE! SWIPE! SWIPE!  The Parks & Recreation Department is now accepting debit and credit cards for activity registration, facility reservation, memberships, camps and more!  Beginning October 1, 2015, we will only be accepting plastic, money orders and cashier's checks. No personal checks or cash. Thanks for growing with us!
