You Helped Magnify the Midlands with PAALS

On Tuesday, May 6, 2014, the Central Carolina Community Foundation sponsored the first Annual Midlands Gives Day. The goal was to raise as much money for Midlands nonprofits as possible in a 24 hour period.  We are so grateful to the program for including us and PAALS was able to raise $2,450.00!! Thanks again to all those who participated and donated.

Summer Volunteer Opportunities
Many Opportunities to Help and Learn

This summer provides many opportunities for PAALS pals to participate, volunteer and help PAALS. For more information about any of them click on the links or visit the PAALS website.

Summer PAALS:
PAALS annual summer camp is under way!  With two weeks down and only one more to go we are off to a great start.  PAALS is lucky to have so many great junior trainers involved with our program and the dogs are getting great exposure.  Campers learn basic dog care and training techniques followed by a training field trip at the end of the week!

New Volunteer Orientation:
For all those looking to get more involved in PAALS and be a part of a good cause, we will be holding a new volunteer orientation on July 22nd at 6:00 PM at the Lourie Center in downtown Columbia.  For more information or to register for the orientation please email [email protected].

New Pupsitter Class:
Want a dog without the day to day responsibility? Become a pupsitter for PAALS and help to raise a service dog!  On the weekend of July 25th-27th, PAALS will be holding a pupsitter class in which those involved will learn basic training and care for a PAALS dog.  For more information or to sign-up please email [email protected].

Unleash the Possibilities Conference:
PAALS is sponsoring a conference in Columbia, SC to
provide information and training about using assistance dogs in Animal Assisted Therapy. The conference will be held August 1 - 3, 2014 (Friday, Saturday and Sunday).
