Russia's Gazprom gas exports to Germany grow 37% this year

Taas.ru, March 16, 2016: MOSCOW, March 16. /TASS/. Gazprom's gas supplies to non-CIS countries grew 33.5% from January 1 to March 15 this year to 36.5 bln cubic meters, according to the company's press release published on Wednesday.
"From January 1 to March 15 of this year, Gazprom, according to preliminary data, delivered 36.5 bln cubic meters of gas to non-CIS countries," press release quoted Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors, Chairman of the Management Committee Alexey Miller.
He added that the growth totaled 9.155 bln cubic meters, or 33.5% year-on-year.
In particular, exports to Germany increased by 37% and amounted to 9.9 bln cubic meters of gas.
Earlier, Chairman of Gazprom Board of Directors Viktor Zubkov said that Gazprom in 2016 can deliver to Europe 160 bln cubic meters of gas. Read more...
U.S. ExxonMobil still plans building LNG plant in Russia's Sakhalin or Khabarovsk

Reuters.com, March 16, 2016: U.S. energy major ExxonMobil is still considering plans to build a liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant either in the island of Sakhalin or in Khabarovsk region in Russia's far east, a senior company manager said on Thursday.
"We will promote our project at a pace which will ensure maximum profitability both for investors and the state," Alex Volkov, vice president for ExxonMobil Russia, told an energy conference.

Rosneft attracts a consortium of strategic investors to participate in the Taas-Yuryakh Neftegasodobycha Project

Oilvoice.com, March 16, 2016: Rosneft (acting by the wholly owned subsidiary RN-Razvedka i Dobycha), Oil India, Indian Oil and Bharat Petroresources signed a legally binding share sale agreement relating to 29.9% participatory share in Taas-Yuryakh Neftegasodobycha. The document was signed by Rosneft Chairman of the Management Board Igor Sechin, Oil India Limited Chairman of the Board of Directors Upendra Singh, Indian Oil Corporation Chairman of the Board of Directors Balasubramanian Ashok and Bharat Petroresources Limited Managing Director Raji Kumar in the presence of the Indian Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan.
The document provides for the entry of the Indian companies' consortium into the joint venture (JV) established by Rosneft and BP on the basis of Taas-Yuryakh Neftegasodobycha.  Read more...
Urals Energy provides operational update

Oilvoice.com, March 15, 2016: Urals Energy PCL (AIM:UEN), the independent exploration and production company with operations in Russia, is pleased to provide an operational update:
Production data for 2015
Total production by the Group during 2015 increased by 2.0% and reached 675,318 barrels. This was made up as follows:
  • production at Arcticneft reached 253,592 barrels (2014: 240,865 barrels); and
  • production at Petrosakh reached 421,726 barrels (2014: 421,350 barrels).
Rosneft to form a unique international consortium based
 on the Vankor Project

 Chairman of the Managem ent board Igor Sechin signed in presence of   the Minister of petroleum and natural gas Dharmendra Pradha n a set of documents, aimed at the creation of a unique international consortium, based on the Vankor project.
Rosneft, Oil India, Indian Oil and Bharat Petroresources signed a Heads of agreement in respect to the acquisition by a group of Indian investors of a 23,9% share in Vankroneft. The document envisages the possible execution of legally binding documents with regard to the sale and purchase transaction.  Read more...
NOVATEK closes transaction to sell 9.9% equity stake in Yamal LNG Project

Oilvoice.com, March 15, 2016: OAO NOVATEK announced today the closing of a transaction to sell a 9.9% equity stake in the Yamal LNG project to China's Silk Road Fund for a payment amounting to EUR 1,087 million.
Following the deal completion, the shareholder structure of the Project is as follows: OAO NOVATEK - 50.1%, Total S.A. - 20%, CNPC - 20%, SRF - 9.9%.
Earlier in December 2015, as part of the transaction, NOVATEK received a 15-year loan from SRF for the purpose of financing of the Project.
The Yamal LNG project envisages the construction of an LNG plant with annual capacity of 16.5 million tons per annum based on the feedstock resources of the South-Tambeyskoye field. 
Russia Approves Long-Awaited 10-Year Space Budget

Themoscowtimes.com, March 17, 2016: The Russian government has approved a long-awaited federal program for space exploration, valued at 1.4 trillion rubles ($20.5 billion) over the next decade, according to an announcement posted on the government's website on Thursday.
The document, known as the Federal Space Program 2016-2025, outlines Russia's major objectives in space over the next ten years and sets funding targets for individual projects. The original proposal requested 3.4 trillion rubles, but economic troubles have forced multiple cuts over the past year.

The Ministry has proposed Zara, H&M and IKEA to place orders at the Russian factories

Freenews.xyz, March 15, 2016: MOSCOW, March 15.  The Ministry of industry and trade of the Russian Federation proposed to the retailers clothing Zara (Spain) and H&M (Sweden) and the Swedish seller of the goods for house IKEA to place their orders in the sphere of light industry in Russian enterprises.
IKEA purchased the land in Krasnoyarsk for a shopping center

Uber gets green light to continue in Moscow, but can only use licensed taxi drivers

Venturebeat.com, March 15, 2016: Uber has reached an agreement with Moscow transport officials that gives the e-taxi giant an official green light to continue operating in the Russian capital.
The news comes a little over a month after the Moscow Department of Transport (DoT)  threatened to ban the American app-based service unless the company agreed to use officially registered taxi drivers and share travel data with local authorities.
There was never much doubt that Uber would put pen to paper on the deal (an agreement was originally anticipated last year), but the company has delayed proceedings until now. The long and short of this news is that, in contrast to the way Uber operates in most other cities around the world, the Russian branch of the service won't allow any Tom, Dick, or Harry to sign up as drivers - only those with DoT-licensed cars will be able to drive for the app.  Read more...
Toyota to build the RAV4 SUV in Russia starting from August

Inautonews.com, March 15, 2016: The Japanese automaker kept its commitment to locally produce its popular RAV4 model and it announced August as the starting month for building the SUV in Russia.
Toyota Motor said in 2013 it would invest to expand capacity at its St. Petersburg plant in Russia where it would start assembling its popular RAV4 in 2016, which was the company's best-selling model in the country. The Japanese carmaker currently produces the Camry model in Russia for the local market, as well for Kazakhstan and Belarus.  Toyota announced on Monday it would also build the SUV from August this year.  Read more...
Russian Nanotech for Cancer Diagnosis
to Begin Trials in 2018

Sputniknews.com,  March 16, 2016: A Russian research team is developing the country's first nanodrug for early stage cancer detection.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Led by Alexander Mazhuga, head of the biomedical nanomaterials laboratory at Russia's National University of Science and Technology, the team intends to launch its clinical trials in 2018, the university press service told RIA Novosti.
The initial testing stage envisages using the magnetite-based preparation for brain tumor MRIs; the researchers later plan to apply the method to other types of cancer.
The team, which began to develop the diagnostic tool in 2014, unites experts from NUST MISiS, Lomonosov Moscow State University and Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University.

Ford Sollers реорганизует дилерскую сеть в России

Autonews.ru, 16 марта, 2016: Компания Ford Sollers создаст в России новую сеть специализированных дилерских центров для продажи и после продажного обслуживания легких коммерческих автомобилей. Как сообщает пресс-служба концерна, новые точки продаж получат название «Transit-центры» и будут оформлены в ином стиле. Основным продуктом компании на рынке коммерческих автомобилей станут фургоны и грузовички Ford Transit, а также спецтранспорт на его базе.
Первые дилерские центры новой сети будут открыты в I квартале 2016 года. Всего в 2016 году компания планирует открыть 50 Transit-центров. В создаваемую сеть войдут как существующие, так и новые дилеры Ford, которые будут отобраны на основе тендера.
